About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Fun Course
Course fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Greens are acceptable. All round fun play.

Slow Pace
We had a terrible experience as we pace of game was very slow. We stuck behind a twosome and a threesome, all of them seem to be beginners. Which would not be a problem, when they would not have finished all holes. I guess nobody scored in single digit a hole. When you see They were driving back and for, they took all the time after finish a hole to get off to the next. On most holes we had been at least two flights waiting to tee off. But obvious nobody cared about it. We will never play this course again. Furthermore staff was not friendly at all. In the pro shop they took calls first, although several clients already had been wating in line to register. Overall a bad experience.

Tired course
This course is always hit and miss. Front 9 closed on East course. Cart paths in rough shape. Overall course looks tired. Still a good value for me as it is very close by.

Still one of my go to places.
I enjoy playing Orangebrook East side, unfortunately when they close the front nine, too many people start jumping around and causes a few back ups. The greens and fairways are in good shape heading into season. The staff is always friendly.

I assume because the east closed the west was a little crowded so it was slow.

Take a Pass
We booked Orangebrook West online and paid online. When we arrived at Orangebrook, we were told the west course was closed and that we could only play the east course. The course was a swamp. Even though it hadn’t rained in days, the grounds were wet. We were very disappointed that we booked one thing, and got another.

Have the grounds crew given up?
My guess is, that employees do not receive at the very least an annual cost of living pay increase.
Both courses being entirely taken over by weeds, turf disappearing at an alarming rate.
Not too shabby
First time trying this course. Aside from the greens being crappy, the rest of the course is quite nice. Can’t bear the free lunch with a round. Very playable !!
