West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Average
Course continues to be somewhat rough around the edges. Electric cart died half through the course. They delivered a new one but then pace of play for the back 9 was very slow.
Decent value
Played the West course which was in decent shape considering that it gets a lot of traffic during the height of the season. Tee boxes and greens are fine. The layout is quite challenging, so if you're looking for a relaxing round, play the East course instead. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I didn't try the amenities.
Windy Challenge
This was my first time playing the course. Other than the ever changing wind directions, the course provided options and layout different from what I normally experience in a Palm Beach County golf course for the money. My only two observations are the dry brown-out patches and rough cut greens. Second the starter let us out 10 minutes early, and yet by hole three groups were stacked up waiting 4-7 minutes to tee up the next hole. The courses disparately needs a player ranger to push groups along to keep the course of play consistent. Reminds my of playing the old West Palm Beach public course, wide open spaces, not enough tree lined breaks to hold off the wind. Love the conservation area protecting the burrowing owls, though.
John Herzberg 18 holes at Orangebrook Wesr course
Course. Was in great shape. Have played here many times. Greens we’re great but slow which was fine by me. Fairways we’re in good shape as were tee boxes.. the only negative was the sand traps which should have been raked better. I would say that the course was in the best shape I have seen it since the pandemic started.0
Orangebrook
Enjoyed the game. Everything was good except the greens. They were very slow.
We're glad you enjoyed your round, and we hope to welcome you back again soon!
Thanks so much for 4 stars!
Orangebrook West Good Choice
We have played here a few times and it is a good choice for regular golfers. Traps are rough and a few greens but overall a fun play worth your visit.
Heavy fertilizer on the green’s made it very difficult to putt
Good Value for the area
I enjoyed the layout ... some greens are better than others and there's some that could use some work. The value for the money was excellent for this area.
We're thrilled you enjoyed your time with us, and we look forward to having you back soon!
Enjoyed playing but disappointed in conditions
For most part, fairways in fair conditions, though had to move balls for shot on decent grass. Many t boxes in in terrible shape. Bunkers need more sand, maintenance and rakes. Greens quite small and challenging, and rolling fairly true. Lots of sloppy maintenance in rough areas. Not happy to be unable to drive to driving range, nor be able to hit off grass.
This could be a much better experience if ownerships willing to spend a little more money.
Nice Surprise
I haven’t played the West course in a few years, usually I play the East, but what a fun round I had playing the West side. Greens were just a little fuzzy, but overall in really nice shape. Tee boxes and fairways all in good shape. This course gets a lot of play but holds up really well. I look forward to playing it again soon.
Inexpensive but lacking in quality condition
Orangebrook West is a good layout but the fairways need work, the greens are much improved but could have used a cutting when I played. Our threesome moved at s good pace even though we were behind five players in the forward group. It is an inexpensive practice course but needs much more attention to compete in quality with other courses in south florida.
greens could be in better shape
greens are not very good but for this time of the year you can not beat the pricer
