Pleasant surprise
My stepson is getting into golf and wanted to go. We found this as it was close to our home and wanted to give it a try not knowing what we would be walking up to. It was definitely a pleasant experience. Wonderful staff overall would definitely play this course again and definitely recommend to anybody that has a question.
Loved the layout
The greens were in great shape and receptive to well struck shots. They were a little slow to putt but rolled true. A lot of bare spots in fairways with no grass. Pace of play was ok except for the group in front of us that hit multiple breakfast balls on hole. Love the layout and will come back again. Friendly staff!
Over booking
Almost seems like it gets over booked and makes it get backed up and slow
Good Value
Great value for the money, can be very crowded at times, and expect slow play/waiting between shots. A lot of the holes are very flat, and straight . Better conditions than Brentwood golf course at the moment , which is comparable in price . However I enjoy brentwoods layout much more. Water seriously comes into play on 3 holes, and there are zero bunkers (unless you count the fairways on 7/8 :) )
Better conditions than other budget friendly courses.
Recently played Brentwood,Cecil field and royal st Augustine. The conditions here were better than those courses and cheaper than the others except Cecil field. Bare spots in some fairways but greens were in great condition. Friendly staff.
This course has few features
Staff is great but that is its. It is cheap to play here but will take over 3 hours to play 18 holes because they allow way too many people on the course so it gets slow. The staff is the only good thing I have to say about this place, great for beginners I guess but if you love the game and all this course is a bummer.
Pro Shop: Dave VERY helpful
Wife and I played first time today. All staff very friendly and helpful. Layout was interesting for a local nine holder, greens were a bit slow, but put it true and in very good condition. Fairways a bit bumpy.
Great value for the money, a nice couple of hours with my wife, will definitely come back.
Circuis
No starter, no ranger, horrible pace of play. Good for a new golfer but if you actually want to play don’t go unless you want it to take 3 1/2 hours to play 9, dodge balls every hole from other golfers, listen to other people music, watch out for dogs that people bring on the course with them.
Great course for the price and terrific staff
The course is in pretty good shape compared to others in Jax for same price or more. Pace was a bit slow since it’s only 9 hole course due to people playing another 9 holes. We started at 9:18 but by the time we got to the second go round for 9 again the course was almost empty. Course conditions pretty good imo compared to others at this cost or even charging more. I have to tip my hat to the staff. Super friendly and good people. I left my range finder on the cart. Called 4 days later and a young guy found it on the cart and set aside for me. This is a $300 range finder, not everyone would do that. Can’t thank them enough. Definitely recommend this course you get the bang for your buck and is a decently challenging course. I’m not the best golfer (typically shoot mid 90s-100) so some might not think so. Either way a must play.
Sunny Day at the Blue
Greens are in very good shape
The fairways on 7 and 8 are filling in nicely
And for some reason on a beautiful sunny Thursday, the course was empty at noon
2 and a half hours for 18
Now that's the way to play
