About
Blue Cypress Golf Course is a nine-hole course in Jacksonville that originally opened in the 1960s and was extensively renovated in 2003. It closed in 2015 and reopened in 2020 under new management by Indigo Golf following a multi-year closure. The course can be walked or golf carts are available for rent and features three sets of tees and plays up to 2,962 yards. The facility also has a practice facility with a 330-yard-long driving range and a 3,500-square-foot practice green for short game.

Great job on the course
Greens are all in great shape and they all should be proud. This is a great practice and/or beginner course. Easy to walk and some challenging holes to enjoy. Keep it up.
Nice walking course
Beautiful park-like setting and well maintained grounds. Walked 9 holes in an hour and a half, the greens were in great shape, most of the tee boxes were also very good with the exception of a couple of fairways the course was better than most I’ve played for similar cost. I will definitely play there again
Great value
Greens and tees were in great shape. Some of fairways need some work but overall conditions were really good. You can tell they have been working hard on the course. This is a great beginner course or a good practice course for the avid golfer. Easy to walk and fun to play. Keep it up.
Greens look great
The greens look good. Two fairways need some work, but still enjoyable.
I wish they would do cart path only for some the holes so it could recover quicker. Would play again and you can’t beat the value

This course is a lot of fun and the staff is friendly.
I will say there are two holes that were a little bit rough previously and have made a complete turnaround.

Great value
I played this course on a Friday morning and it was straight , flat and a lot of fun. Not a lot of water hazards so great for beginners.
Good bang for buck.
Greens are fantastic. Everything else is good, can tell it’s being upgraded/worked on. Will definitely be coming back
Needed a ranger
3 hours to play 9 holes. A completely clueless 3some backed up 3 other groups the entire time, which then grew to 5. Ranger could have fixed issue immediately.

Fun day
Staff was nice, fairways in a little rough shape but good bang for buck!!
Much room for improvement
This course needs a lot of work. Tees and fairways were not good, lots of bare dirt with some grass areas. Same with fringes on most greens. Most of the greens had a good cover of grass but 2 or 3 had weed issues. Greens were so firm a ball landing on the green left no divot and it usually ended up going off the back even on well lofted shots. I normally hit 65% or so of greens in regulation but today my percentage was near 25. Not a great experience and won’t go back anytime soon. I’ll stick with the other “budget minded” course in town.
nice folks but cruel fairways
positive aspects: the prize to play, greens in good conditions,, teeboxes acceptable, short distances, nice staff, nice players
negative aspects: the fairways don’t deserve that name - nearly no grass, lot of cravel, sand and weeds, pace of play at the beginning was very slow, later half acceptable, no toilets
