Tooth 9-hole Course at Orange County National
About
The Tooth Course is a popular nine-hole executive course at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge. The facility also features two 18-hole regulation courses. The Tooth Course mimics the shape and challenges of its sister courses but on a smaller scale, making it an ideal place for golfers to sharpen their game. The course is especially useful for getting practice with irons. The course offers strategically placed bunkers, a lake that comes into play on four holes, and subtle elevation changes. Orange County National welcomes younger players to play the Tooth, allowing them to play free of charge when accompanied by an adult.

Is this what they mean by Drive the Green!? Photo submitted by CraigByKDW on 05/17/2016
Last day in Florida for a Guest that wanted one last round!
Thoroughly enjoyed your short course normally would walk it but time was of the essence prior to flight back to Canada.
Solid par 3
Wanted to grab a quick 9 before noon. Had a 10:12 AM tee time and were done by 11:00 AM. Course was lush, greens were a little patchy but hey for $25 bucks, I can't complain. Always enjoy playing here and it's always in great shape.
Great place but
Great place to play. But they should have different time for kids. If they want to train kids they should come earlier since people got out work and like to play not waiting for kids
Fun
This is a fun course to work on your short game. Signage could be better letting you know to check-in at the driving range.
Worst course I've ever played... Honestly
It didn't start out good the lady in the office was rude the lady at the cart was router yet they seemed very disorganized and that was the best part of the day. We went to the practice green honestly the worst green I've ever seen in my life we thought surely the course would not be in this condition most of it was equally as bad. They kept telling us it's better now than it was it's better now than it was I kept saying that's not doing me any good today. Most greens were 20 to 30% totally Dad I'll see you where more than that I don't think anywhere less. I don't believe the bunkers have been worked on yet this year by anyone. The tea boxes were horrible and the fairways iyes the fairways they were just worn weeds motor really short and you were hitting off the bus. I almost forgot about the hot dog that would be the best thing of the day it was delicious it took 15 minutes at the turn and yes that girl was just as rude as the rest. I averaged three to five times a week playing golf took it up 3 years ago then in many states many conditions many courses this is by far the worst example of a course I've ever even heard of let alone seen. Sad to write this article I feel so ripped off...
Short course tune-up
This short 9 hole course is a great work out with your irons. This is not your normal short course, it is loaded with bunkers, everywhere! Orange County utilizes pin placement in conjunction with bunkers, water,, and split level greens.
You need to know club distance really well, and if you do not what a great course to start learning what distance you get out of your irons.
Enjoyable practice round, great value for the money, and would recommend to anyone needing a tune-up on there iron game.
Nice Track
I took my 10 year old grandson who is learning the game and we totally enjoyed the course.
Conditions rough
Always enjoy a quick walk around the Tooth after time on the range. Can't beat the "no tee time" convenience and my daughter plays for free. However, this season has not been kind to the course and the fairways are in rough condition. Greens are still playable and roll well for the most part. Decent value for some tune up work on the short irons.
Great short course.
A great 9 hole course. Mostly par 3's and a couple par 4's. Just a fun short course to scratch that golf itch.
Great little test!
Great test. Water holes a little tough for beginners!
“Dad did you see the size of the driving range?”
Thankfully for me, my son is a golfing junky. So when we venture to Florida during his week off from school, we have great anticipation to get in some time on a course. The Tooth at Orange County National is a parent/child dream come true. All the other courses we investigated wanted some pretty obscene amount of money for a 2some only playing 9. Being that I had my little girl tagging along, that was going to be the right amount of playing time, she gets bored rather quickly. A lot of Par 3s with a couple par 4s mixed in, the longest being the 9th, was just what we needed after not playing on Long Island since early November since it got real cold, real quick. The greens rolled true and the Bermuda was holding its color and fullness quite nicely. He was very impressed with the driving range, it is advertised as the largest in the country.
So if you are in the Orlando area and are blessed with a 14-year old junkie like I am, skip the Disney courses and head over to Orange County National. Truly a “family” course since they had no problem with my 11-year old daughter skipping around and “playing caddy” and because my son was 14 he was able to play for free.
rainy
The course was in great shape! We started out with a little rain; then it came down hard. IT slow down and we went back and a little later it stop altogether.. We had a good day with a little rain.
