Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

No food or water
OK for $107 course was in good shape, but they no breakfast sandwiches or wraps, playing king ridge and you never cross pro shop or clubhouse, no vending machines , and only met beverage cart on hole 16, I mean you strictly prohibit coolers, but if I come back I'll have one with Gatorade, water and snacks, I can't remember a course were drinks and food not readily available especially in that price range, and our start was 45 min delayed because of league game on a Saturday, starter just said not happy go get your money nice..... Oh well it was a fun course but they definitely need to pick up their hospitality game
So Slow - Unfortunate
Played in a foursome a little after 11 am. Waited on every single shot. Just way too many players on the course. I appreciate it is high season but it was ridiculous. 4 1/2 hours is not normally terrible for a public course but you shouldn’t be waiting on every shot. It’s really too bad because everything else about the course was great. Fairways have been redone and were nice. Greens were fast. Tee boxes could use some work but not bad. Staff were friendly. They even had a beverage cart which seems to be a bonus in Florida these days. Not even sure a Marshall would have helped. Just need to space out the tee times a bit more. Hurts the income but improves player experience immensely.
Mixed experience.
Good and somewhat less than good. Enjoyed playing the Championship Course. Course was challenging, fair and interesting. Signage from gatehouse to the golf course office was confusing and as they are remodeling the somewhat messy office and pro shop were tolerable. Nice practice, but difficult to locate. Course was in good condition with good turf on fairways, tees and greens. Only about half the divots on fairways were repaured. Some secondary rough had bare or thin spots. Restrooms on the course very tun down and need refurbishing. Would play this course again.
This course was excellent!
Can't wait to play there again.
Starter or security guard
Booked on Super Bowl Sunday for a guys day. The price was 65 per person. We used to play this course at least once a week but recently we noticed the price was increased by at least 30 per person. So we waited to play our favorite course on our guys day and when we got there our experience began. The man inside the proshop was very friendly and informative and got us checked in with zero problems. It was when I got to the starter which is a good distance away from the proshop. When we pulled up he asked if i had paid a ride along fee for my partner who was not playing. After he examined my receipt I told him I did not pay a fee and then he yelled at us and told us to go pay a fee literally as we’re teeing off. I again say no problem and drive all the way back to the pro shop and pay it but when I get there the proshop man apologizes profusely and charges me 75$ for the normal rate for someone to sit next to me. Making my partner drive the 2 hours home. I get back to the starter and was told “where’d your little friend go.” To which I then went back and paid the fee just so we both could give our minds to that man. Anyways it’s a fun course with great layout but if you’re below the age of 40 stay away as you will be viewed as nothing but a problem.
Played with 3 guys from Detroit. They wanted cart girl on front nine. She showed up on the 10th hole and also 15 th hole. The course has a nice layout and the greens have some slope to them. Fairly fast greens. The course is not overly challenging but you still have to hit decent tee shots and putt well to score.
