Legends Golf & Country Club
About
Legends Golf & Country Club offers an 18-hole championship course that has become one of the most popular golf courses in central Florida. The course features dramatic elevation changes, which allow golfers to take in breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and citrus groves. Legends Golf & Country Club is known for its par-3 holes, but one of the most memorable holes is the par-4 fifth hole. The hole is a downhill dogleg left with an elevated tee that provides a spectacular view. Legends Golf & Country Club has a classic, moderately difficult layout that is difficult if approached too casually but also quite playable, even from the championship tees.

Golfer Reviews
Great layout
Course is in the hills near Clermont so lots of creativity is required for shots. Challenging and picturesque, I highly recommend you play a game here. Only issue we had was a slow group in front of us. Our round took 4:30 to play. The course needs a Marshall, a common occurrence it seems at these Orlando area courses.
Good golf course awful speed of play
good golf course in good condition . would have had a great time apart from the speed of play which was very poor. whilst there was a marshall going around the course he did nothing to rectify this
the rest of the staff were excellent and very friendly
the speed of play will make us seriously consider whether to revisit which is a shame as the course was very good
Orlando Vacation
First time playing and was glad we did. Course was very fair, although green speeds varied a bit from hole to hole. Pace of play was good, and the staff was accommodating. Food after the round was good, and staff was super nice. Will put this on our list to replay next year.
Always a fun day
This is one of my favorite courses in Central Florida. The crew there is great and the course can be challenging without being too difficult if you play from the appropriate tee box.
Best Yet
This was our 6th course this trip and was the best
A lot to like but…
This was a classic example of how just one group can negatively impact an entire experience. For many, many golfers The pro, the starter and ranger were very friendly and professional. We played the first three holes very quickly, but it quickly slowed way down and by hole 7 there were 4 groups on one hole.
The ranger, who stopped to ask us how it was going told us he’d check things out when he could see the back log. A hole later he returned and informed us of a threesome that was holding play up that he got moving better.
When we got to 10, three groups on the hole. My playing companion and I passed, with permission, 6 groups before seeing the problem on hole 12. Three golfers barely able to move the ball forward. We passed and played the remainder of the course in good time. In my opinion, if you know people just can’t play a hole as a group in less than 15-20 minutes per hole and you have 6 groups behind them and more after that getting stacked up, thank them, refund a portion of their money, maybe buy them a drink, but get them off the course. I’ll give it another try but it’s gotta get better in terms of slow play policy.
Nice to see Legends back after it’s closure
Used to play this course regularly before it was shut. So pleased it’s open again and glad to see 10 minute tee times. Very impressed with the “new” course really good greens plus fairways. Congratulations
Great outing
Course is in great shape. Greens are good and provided a challenge in reading for me. Overall a good day to play. I’ll be back!
Playing Legends
This was a truly excellent course . Greens very good and fairways provided good run. It provides a good mix of challenge and fairness good for all handicaps. Not to close to properties .
Refreshing that as a European the club has info regarding the World wide handicap system which enables us to play off the correct course handicap. So many courses in Florida seemingly ignore the new handicap system.!
The staff at the course from the bag drop , the shop ,to cleaning clubs at the end were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed for a meal which was excellent , great choice , good service and lovely food. Lovely atmosphere in the clubhouse. It ticks all the boxes I would certainly play it again and would recommend it to others.
Great layout
My wife and I totally enjoyed our round. The layout is spectacular. The only gripe I would have is the greens seem to be pretty inconsistent from hole to hole. It took 4 1/2 hours to play, however it was Sunday morning and this is peak golf season so that is to be expected.
I had not played this course in a few years because of COVID and because it had closed for a while.
It was what I had expected, the fairways were in decent shape and the greens needed a little work.
Overall it was good value for the money and an enjoyable day.
Not typical Florida golf
Excellent condition. Greens smooth and fast. Radical elevation changes throughout the course. Fairways wide so you can blast away but trees on the side can keep you honest. 2 free bottles of water on ice was a nice touch. Challenging course from the white tees for those of us who don’t hit the ball 250 any more. Many par 4’s that are tough to reach in regulation, so bring your short game. Will definitely play again.
