Crandon Golf at Key Biscayne

About
Subtle but enticing, Crandon is a well-planned challenge built in 1972 by Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin. In 1993, a redesign by von Hagge brought new greens and bunker configurations. Formerly known as "The Links at Key Biscayne" Crandon Park Golf Course is a championship 18-hole golf course located on the "island paradise" of Key Biscayne, just 10 minutes from downtown Miami.
The course has the world's largest tee, seven saltwater lakes, challenging sand traps, mangrove thickets, and many holes overlooking Biscayne Bay.
You can see crocodiles (they have three), numerous raccoons and Jurassic-sized iguanas darting across the course. The blue and tri-colored herons, white ibises, snowy egrets, pelicans and anhinga grace the fairway roughs and saltwater banks.
From the first hole - a dogleg par 5 that requires a drive over water and mangroves - to the last - another par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway - Crandon Park Golf Course has, in many ways, become Miami-Dade's signature public golf course.

First round on renovated course
Front 9 open, back still awaiting opening after renovation. Course in overall great shape for recent renovation. Greens still sandy but fair. Layout great. Pace of play great. Value even better
Mel
Booked through GolfNow as the website directed us. Since only the front 9 is open, then charge you for 2 “nine holes”on the front but once you get there, they dont have an opening for the second 9 holes. Staff was extremely rude, from proshop to driving range ( boss lady there, beware😳)
Drastic Decline
Once great course, has declined to just another municipal course with zero attention to pace of play and ranger’s monitoring players and groups jumping from hole to hole. The front desk staff are polite, but lack the skill set to run a golf course. Course is still pricey, but no longer with it. Would recommend playing another course in south Florida, the drive will be worth avoiding the 6 hour plus round at Crandon.
Upgrades
I was impressed with the upgrades to the cart paths and especially the greens some of the nicest in South Florida right now
We were not able to play because there was a tournament. !
Always my favorite-but only 9 Holes
Crandon is a favorite. It is challenging and fun.
The greens were very good, fairways good, speed of play good. I recommend.
Expensive for 9 holes but worth it.
Beatiful course
I enjoyed a lot everything. The place, the people who work there. The enviorment. The greens. Perfect day in a perfect course.
No golf cart allowed
I’m super disappointed with this reservation. It was clearly stated in my reservation that it included a golf cart and I paid for it (it was included in the price). However when I checked in at the pro shop the staff told me no golf carts were allowed in the course for the round (walking only) so that I had to play the full course walking.
That’s why I want a partial refund for this incident on my credit card, please.
Golf Now, and my cart?
I booked Golf Now to play at Crandon with cart included. I also knew that I was going to play 9 holes because the other 9 holes were being repaired.
But when I arrived at Crandon they told me that the cart was not included and that only 6 holes were available.
I blame Golf Now for not informing me of this beforehand. You should reward me.
I paid cart and they didnt me one
Hello, you told me I was going to play with cars and you told me it was sinZ You told me that only 9 years were available and only 6 years were available. I am not happy with the information from Golf Now.
Course under repair
The front 9 is closed for repairs. You have to play back 9 twice. It is a good thing the county is attempting to recover such an amazing golf course.
Great staff, course under renovation
The staff are amazing. Can’t beat the weekday morning prices. Unfortunately for now the course is under renovation, so only 9 holes are available at least until late fall they mentioned. Looking forward to playing the full 18.
What a shame
It used to be in pristine condition and now it’s in a deplorable condition
Course under construction
Had no prior warning on this app that half the course was closed for renovations; had to play the back nine twice.
