Chestatee Golf Club

Quality course, need weed management in some areas.

Cart path only due to rain and rain and rain. Not a big issue. No ranger so when we caught up to two 4 somes playing together we skipped the 9th hole otherwise the round would have been wll over 5 hours.

We picked a great summer day to get out to Chestatee...though I used to play the course more often, in recent years the course's condition had been lacking, keeping me from making the 45 minute drive to the course. However, i must say the course was in awesome condition (heard a new Course Superintendent was hired), and hitting balls on the sticky greens were like throwing darts! Though the putts were rolling a little slower than i like, the rolls were true and surface was in excellent shape. Staff and especially Starter were super corteous and made sure we had an enjoyable round. If the course stays like this will certainly be back soon.

Chestatee is an easy drive up Georgia Hwy 400 from Atlanta. From my home in Alpharetta, it took less than 40 minutes. This is a beautiful course, in excellent condition with tons of visual interest and challenging shots. (The last two holes have beautiful, mountain-top-like views of Lake Lanier.) Since the carts are not equipped with GPS, it would be nice if they had more yardage markers and if they had better printed layouts of each hole. However, once you have played it, you will have a much better idea of where to hit shots the next time.

I will continue to play this course as long as they have reasonable senior rates and keep it in good condition even though it is a long ride for me

The staff was friendly, the course was excellent, hazards were well marked and the greens were pristine. The only negatives were the absence of a cart lady, the long drive to the clubhouse at the turn and back to hole 10 and the price was a tad steep for twilight.

It was an awesome course and a ton of fun. I will defiantly play there again.

This was my first time playing this course & won't be the last. My son and I both enjoyed the challenge and scenery that it provided. Personnel both inside and around the club (even greens keepers ) where very friendly. The condition of the course was excellent with true and week maintained greens. We especially enjoyed the challenging elevation changes as well as the breath taking views.

The course was in perfect shape, the greens smooth and not too fast, some easy holes and some very demanding holes

Play this finally after just riding by saying I need to play and after doing so am glad I did fairway or more open then you would think by the road and the green was in great shape

Good course. Has some very challenging holes. Have played here the past three Mondays. Staff has been very friendly. Course Ranger had a bad attitude this round.

Very nice course in great condition. Staff was helpful and friendly. However they allowed an older foursome to walk on a Sunday morning. Made for a very slow round and waiting after every shot.

The course was in great shape despite getting 6" of rain the day before. Fairways and greens are in good shape. My only gripe is the greens are always slow here. All in all I like this course and its a great deal when booking a hot deal!

This was my first time around this track. I was very pleased. The course looks very narrow from the road when you first pull in, however there is a good bit more room than expected once on the course. If you’re accurate off the tee low numbers are out there but you can get in trouble quick. The course was in great shape though a little damp from all the rain the night before. Greens were a touch slow for my liking but they rolled very true and were very consistent. Looking forward to playing this course a few more times over the summer.

This is a very nice course and a good value for the money, especially considering unlimited range balls are included with your greens fees. Overall the greens are in excellent shape. They were a tad long and a little slow today, but that may have just been due to all the rain we had in the last few days. Fairways are greening up and in good condition. This is pretty course with generous fairways and a good mix of ponds, bunkers, and doglegs. It is a neighborhood course, but most of the houses are well away from the course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has not tried it yet.

The greens are a little slow and still had some little holes but putted true. The greens have better roots and more grass than I have ever seen there. They used to look great but had no roots. The bunkers were actually good too which is an improvement. Worth playing for sure!

Course is always clean and well manicured. Staff is always very friendly. We try to play there at least once a month.

Course is enjoyable to play. Challenging yet fair.
