Overall, I'd say ok

the drive is pretty long... not golf drive, car drive. i live in duluth and it was 30 miles to get there... the guy in the pro shop didn't say anything, not a word... really kind of dismissive. in fairness he did say "you know where you're going?"

I like the layout of the course, but the greens had been aerated with gigantic holes and the grass on the greens hadn't been cut in a long time so it was a waste once on the greens. two putt rule applies...

Decent

Greens were aerated, so putting was none existent. It was 85 degrees and we never saw the beverage cart.

Great course. Just the right degree of difficulty for me

The course just plugged and sanded the greens on 9-4/5. Two putt rule applies for the next few weeks

Play it soon!

Played on 8/31...from the blue tees.

Conditions...tees/fairways were in great shape. Rough was cut, but imo could be trimmed again...tough to find balls in the rough in some areas. Greens were soft and very receptive, from the FW every club I actually hit the green with stopped within 3 paces of the pitch mark. Greens rolled smooth thanks to many people repairing ball marks. Not super fast so you could make a run at most putts. Amazingly I did not find a bunker so no thoughts on their condition.

Course layout...72.7/140 from the tips...why such stout rating/slope? It's not terribly long from any box, most of the longer driving holes play downhill off the tee. From the blue a long hitter will not need to hit driver a ton. Lots of elevation change, rarely do you shoot at a green level with the FW or tee box..there is .ample room to land your tee ball, but if you do stray there are plenty of hazards and trees to wreck a scorecard.

I think the par 3 holes are great...challenging, yet bogey level and better have a good chance to log some low numbers.

For an early afternoon tee time on a Saturday I'm averaging less than $50, and this one was $44, right in line with most of my rounds lately.

Finally...I was braced for a 5 hour round based on some earlier reviews...our threesome finished in slightly over 4 hrs...about 4:10 actually...so slightly less than my noted pace.

I love this course, but pace of play is not well managed.

My biggest issue with this course and several others north of Atlanta is pace of play. There is no sense of urgency with staff or players. We waited on every hole. This course is well maintained and a nice layout, but I hesitate to book it every time because of how slow it is.

Excellent golf course

This is an excellent course. A challenging layout with many elevation changes. The course itself is in outstanding condition. If you are looking for a fun layout in great shape, look no further.

Nice course in good condition

Nice course that has been well maintained. We played on a beautiful Sunday at 1:00. Totally jammed, > 5 hrs to play, no ranger anywhere to speed things up.

Good course.

First time playing this course. I'd heard so many good things about it and was excited to play. How ever the play was slow, I believe they over booked the course and it took 5 1/2 hrs to get the round in. So it was hard to enjoy the round and get a fill for the course. I would like to play it again but maybe not on a weekend. All the rain has really beat the fairways up. If you're going to play here go on a week day or early morning tee time because it seems to get really backed up once you hit the first par 3.

Well maintained. Friendly staff.

This is a great course. My friends and I chose to play here as a "meet in between" where we all live. We were not disappointed. The groups ahead of us kept moving nicely and we never waited all day. The facilities were what we needed and where we needed. I would recommend getting a course guide if this is an unfamiliar course for you as there are several blind holes, yet none are unfair.

Great course, very challenging, nice layout.

Enjoyed playing, the course was in great shape, the greens a little slower than expected but putted very true. I'd recommend this course to anyone and definitely look forward to playing it again.

Great course 40 minutes north of Atlanta.

Liked layout, elevated tees and mountain views. Signage is a bit challenging and designed for those familiar with the course.

Good golf course, but a couple complaints;

Course is designed well, good condition, but there were some issues/complaints: first and foremost, there were two maintenance men driving around in John Deer maintenance vehicles but appeared to do nothing but make noise with their tractors; one even was sitting 10 ft off the green talking on his cell phone while we were putting; the other was a 2-some who held the entire pace of play up on the backside; a marshall would be nice to encourage quicker pace of play;

This course was in reasonable condition and has some mountain flavor to make it interesting.

Fun course to play in the North Georgia foot hills. Every hole is different and most offer elevation changes both from tee to green and side to side across the fairways.

Great Layout With Lots of Potential

I love the course but it needs some TLC. First, the driving range is like hitting off of Arizona red rock...very disappointing. The fairways were decent but a handful had issues with weeds. The greens seemed healthy but were SLOW and this caused every putt to be straight. Although I hit the ball poorly I still scored pretty well. I would still like a bit of a challenge on the greens. I will continue to play for the discounted rate they offer but would love to see this course when it's pristine.

Very good collection of par 3 holes

Good course, better than expected. Greens were punched during the day. I liked the par 3's a lot. Course was in pretty good condition, greens rolled quite well despite the maintenance. All in all a very good time. Friendly cart girl that helped with hydration on a hot day.... Thanks for the last purple powerade.

A well designed course but maintenance has fallen down.

This course was once pristine, extremely well maintained, and had some of the finest greens around Atlanta. It was a $90 per round course. The current $40 per round fee is appropriate now.
