Nice Elevation, Challenging Greens, Slow Players
Doesn't feel like a Florida course. Lots of elevation, tree lined and hilly greens. I was a single player and they didn't pair me up! I was sandwiched between two "2-somes" that were very old, very slow players. They were from another country and did not understand that I being a 10-15 handicap - I should play through. Pro-shop is hurting for some investors and some attention. Guy in the pro shop was nice but not overly friendly. I wanted to buy a cigar but they were out. They could use a cart service, a starter and a course Marshall. Overall, I enjoyed the round, like the track and for less than $30, I will go back.
Don't waste your money
The course might have been good once but not anymore. They show that they have GPS on their website but when I got there they said they had them years ago, but not anymore. There were many greens that had damage, the fairways were not in great condition, and the rough is dreadful. They didnt even have scorecards they had computer print outs that didnt even have pictures of the holes. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Good value for money. However, some customer service attention is needed.
I booked, and received confirmation for 4. The club said they had for only 3. When I proved it on my IPhone, the attendant stated that it had to be on printed paper. We had to get a supervisor involved! To me, and my group, something wasn't right! We, however, had a good time!
Similar to CC At Deer Run, Cypresswood G& CC, & Kissimmee OaksGC
11:00 Tee time w/ buddy. Great hot deal price. Has a few unique holes. Typical Florida style course in subdivision setting. Tee boxes fair. Fairways sparse in some areas but generally plush. Elevated greens inconsistent w/ speed. All in all a fun course to play. Carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. Will play here again.
Interesting layout that could use some attention
As far as layout is concerned RSR is above average. The course is maintained as far as lower budget courses are. The tee boxes, fairways and greens get attention. As will a lot of places once you get off the greens or fairway by a few feet is where you have issues. It makes approach and chipping from slightly errands shots challenging.
However I really enjoy this course. There are plenty of memorable holes to keep you coming back.
Wonderful Layout
The course is in the best condition I have ever seen. Greens keeper is working hard.
The course is under going managememt changes, The pro shop at this is very limited
The course is is undergoing some subtle inprovement around the fairways and greens. I will play it again.
Very friendly staff
Front side greens were sparse and verticut. Back side much better.
Course is in good condition , green fairways and green greens !
I like this course because it is anything but flat . Nearly every hole has some terrain fluctuation and seventeen has a large Bald Eagle nest and often the resident ! Even though the course winds thru a designed community , you hardly notice , and many holes have no houses on or visible from the course. Greens are very consistent and fairly good size on most holes , but well guarded ,,, From the blues fairway bunkers are in play for most golfers and well placed to increase the challenge.
Beautiful and unique course!
My father and I played this course for the first time in mid-December and were both very impressed by the beauty of the course. The staff was very friendly and very pleasant. The greens on the front 9 appeared to have some damage and sandy spots which stood out against the excellent condition of the rest of the course, but this did not lower our opinion of the course. We plan on making Rock Springs Ridge one of our usual golf destinations from now on!
course is good for developing your game
Easy course for the aspiring beginer, not to many hazards, therefor, no lost balls.
Greens are getting in good shape for winter
Course has slowly evolved over past 2 1/2 years and is getting in good shape. Definitely a bargain With the wind, elevation, hole setting you can play 3 different clubs.

This course has some challenging holes for the inexperienced.
The staff was very helpful in describing the course selection to be played.
Great Price...Never Rushed
Greens were EXCELLENT! The staff very helpful.. the food deals in the Clubhouse are wonderful.
in poor condition right now, but there's worse
weird course layout but not terrible, greens are big so the average player can enjoy..some greens in very bad shape, but overall i had many chances for bird, short par4's .. the staff, only 2 ppl i saw, did not care what was happening on their course ..wouldnt recommend unless you live very close
from tee to green the course was in bad shape
Tee boxes were full of weeds, they are trying to grow the overseeding. Fairways are mostly cutt weeds, the greens full of weeds, bring a mallet putter, you'll need it to get close to the hole. Saving grace, played in 3 hrs, and it was on $15.00. This used to be a beautiful 27 hole, now only 18, course.
Not awful, not amazing
Pro shop was nice, did not have a problem with us being a few minutes late, and let my elderly dad ride with me free.
The course conditions were just ok. The greens could definitely use some work, some areas are almost like concrete, others sandy or weedy. But at least the lies in the fairway and on the tees, while not being perfect, were better off than most similar courses, which are often sandy, really making it hard to make clean contact. Overall, I like the course. It definitely isn't the top of my list, but is a place I will probably play again.
Big disappointment!!!
I used to play here several years ago, and it was one of my favorites. It has gone way downhill, sad to say. The greens are overrun with crabgrass, and the fairways have deteriorated badly. I will not return. It is overpriced at any price!!! In my opinion, you should't even offer this course on GolfNow.
Good Layout
Rock Springs is a great layout but conditions are not what you would expect. Greens and fairways need attention greens especially. Greens have too many weeds or clumps of grass making it hard to roll the ball. Maybe when they overseed the greens putting will get better.
Good value
The greens are coming back after a rough summer and all but a couple are really good. The fairways are ok. Most of the have a lot of weeds and rough spots but they're not a deal breaker for most hackers. It's a fun and forgiving layout with a variety of elevations. Hope to see this course stay around with the continued improvements. BM, Lake Mary
