Downhill fast
No maintenance of course notable over last year
Greens filled with weeds and crabgrass
Putting and chipping areas not usable
It feels like Lakeside two years ago
It was once a decent course
Greens taken over by weeds
While I've always like the layout of the course, the greens have never been is worse shape. The weeds are taking over many of the greens which makes putting difficult. Come play for a challenge and good value relative to cost, but don't expect much of the greens.
Sand
Had to play front twice. There was as much sand on the greens as in the bunkers. Literally very little grass to putt on. Narrow course, could be fun, just picked a bad day.
Cow pasture
The course layout is great, but it’s like playing on a cow pasture. Greens were in the worst shape possible. They put so much sand on them. It was like putting on the beach. Tee boxes are full of weeds and tall grass.. even around the Green. The grass was Saint Augustine grass with weeds and head grass growing in the bunkers.
Older lady behind counter
Ended up paying for two rounds yet only played 1 round and no refund. Older worker behind counter is clueless and could care less. The greens are worthless and apparently no groundskeeper around.
Beautifully Sad
A beautiful setting but the course was in sad condition.
Worst shape ever
What a shame. This used to be such a goof course. The staff was average but at least they greeted you. I felt like I was communicating with the register rather than a person. The greens have weeds growing all over them. The fairways need sever attention and the tee boxes are all but bare and the areas with grass were so tall you had too tee it tall to see the ball. I ca t blame the course for the slow play except a marshal would have been nice to move some of the groups along. I won’t be heading back there anytime soon. And if you go before lunch bring a cooler the clubhouse does not open until after 11::00.
Better than most
Played Silver Spring Shores two days before and they have no grass in the fairways and the greens are crap. Played Ocala Golf Club the day before and they punched their greens for the second time in three weeks. Complete trash with sticks and twigs in the top dressing.I have to say this course is in better shape than either of the others. They may have a few weeds around but at least you can find some grass in the fairway.
