About
Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

This course has great features it's a golf course built into a mountain highly recommended
This is one of my favorite courses. It's like playing a course designed into a mountain 200' bridge connects to the other side of the Canyon. After hit a 160 yd from the white tees on number 3 hole onto the green or end up in the Canyon just amazing.
Fun Course - great views!
Always a great time at Mt Woodson, course is in good conditions considering the recent rain with only a few muddy spots. Look forward to come back!🏌️♀️

We have been playing Mt. Woodson for 15 years. We come down from Sacramento
Great first visit
Visiting and working in SD for the month and have been looking for courses to play. This has been my favorite experience by far thus far. A fun challenge from the blues, definitely helped being paired with some locals with advice on shot selection.
Will definitely be going back with a little more course knowledge to see if I can improve on my first score!

few bad fairway spots due to rain damage.
greens were soft but shaggy.
sand traps poor.
views of valleys and surrounding hills

lots of elevation changes.
i had a good discount off of normal price.
would take another go at it someday.
Mt. Woodson GC
I believe Mt. Woodson GC is one of the best, most beautiful golf course in SD county.
Layout is tough - if you can't hit fairly straight, you going to need to bring extra balls.
I had a wonderful game and ended my day at the club house with a Brat & a Stella!
Highly Recommended & I will be back...

Some water in fairways...greens still a bit dimpled, but worth the hot deal

Considering the amount of rain we’ve received, the course is in good shape. There are a few swampy fairways but that’s to be expected.
Great rounding in the beautiful environment
One of the most enjoyed courses in the So. Cal.
Friendly & informative starter helped the newcomer to the course prepared.
Great wooden bridge connecting holes offered great thrill & view, though a bit scary.
