Mt. Woodson Golf Club is one of San Diego County's most popular courses for a number of reasons, one being the spectacular setting. Nestled in the Ramona Valley, the course is sprawls across a dramatic landscape of towering oak trees, enormous granite boulders, and sparkling blue lakes. Nearly every hole on the golf course provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. It is also known for being one of the most challenging and well maintained layouts in the area. The tight fairways and small greens demand accuracy. There are also plenty of interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course offers true target-style golf that will test the shot-making abilities of even the most experienced players. One of the most unique features of the course is the 450-foot wooden bridge that winds through the treetops.

Great course, always fun to play. Especially in perfect weather like we had on 04/30/23.

Only issue I had was the condition of the tee boxes. They're in pretty bad shape, torn up quite a bit. Recommend changing the tee boxes around from time to time to give them a rest.

Will definitely be back

This was a fantastic place to play golf. First time. Very unique and tough layout. Most holes less than a driver due to tight tee shot. Fairways and greens in fabulous shape. Pace of play was for hours on a Friday afternoon.

Although the yardage is short, don’t be fooled as shots are not easy. Small greens add to the challenge.

This course has great features it's a golf course built into a mountain highly recommended

This is one of my favorite courses. It's like playing a course designed into a mountain 200' bridge connects to the other side of the Canyon. After hit a 160 yd from the white tees on number 3 hole onto the green or end up in the Canyon just amazing.

Great first visit

I believe Mt. Woodson GC is one of the best, most beautiful golf course in SD county.

Layout is tough - if you can't hit fairly straight, you going to need to bring extra balls.

I had a wonderful game and ended my day at the club house with a Brat & a Stella!
