Heritage Harbour Golf Club

I play a lot of golf and never leave course reviews but today’s experience was exceptionally unpleasant. My friends and I are decent golfers, two of them are single digit handicappers. The staff today was on our tails about our pace of play for seemingly no reason. It started on the front when the ranger briefly drove past us asking us to close the gap with the group in front of us (who were flying). We weren’t necessarily playing fast as we play competitive rounds for money, but nor were we playing slow by any means. For instance, we’d be walking off the green as the group behind us was teeing off. A few holes later another gentleman in a cart approach our group saying he “was sent out by the clubhouse to keep an eye on us.” He stated the two holes in front of us were wide open and that if we don’t pick it up we’d have to skip a hole. He proceeded to follow us for three holes. This was completely unnecessary and out of line by the clubhouse staff as it was clear to see we were not holding anyone up behind us nor were we holding up pace of play (we never saw the group behind us). This completely killed the experience at this course and I recommend playing Greenfield down the road, you’ll have a much better experience there. Needless to say we won’t be coming back.

Green punched not told before hand. Drove an hour was excited to play . Disappointed!

Enjoyed the course, amenities and pace of play. I would recommend the course, but was surprised there were no comments on the their GolfNow site mentioning they were top dressing several greens. In addition, nothing was mentioned at the pro shop. That was disappointing and why you see lower ratings.

I would play again, but will need to make sure there’s no work going on for the fairways and greens.

Course is in great shape. We paid $70 for our round. Greens are still very hard; any good wedge shot would bounce and go off the back of the green. Course is challenging.

Haven't played this course since last year. They had raised there prices drastically close to double which I think is very wrong but with most of the birds gone the prices go down allowing it to be more affordable.

As always the cart guys are very helpful and friendly along with the Pro shop staff. A drink coupon to use after the round at the bar is a wonderful touch. Playing the course was way different since last year the course, fairways, tees were fabulous and plush and the green were fast running about 10 on the stimp but were receptive. NOTE: they are starting to plug and sand the greens as of the 21st I believe.

The courses in good shape right now. Hole locations made putting a little more challenging greens seem like they were running fast fairways a good shape always like playing here couple of long rides in between holes gave you the sense you were in the wilderness. Staff friendliness and knowledge was the best enjoy your round

It's been a long time since I played this course. This used to be my favorite course in the Manasota area. It's a shame it took such a nose dive. The course was in Okay shape. Definitely not worth the outlandish prices they were charging during the season. Checked in and the gentlemen behind the counter was too busy playing on the computer to give me his undivided attention. Then got the stink eye when I tried to ask a question. He didn't ask if I would like range balls or anything else. So no try to uncharge. The bag staff was great and even stopped my bag in properly. The course definitely needed some loving. But was okay. Dianna was awesome and very pleasant.

In my opinion. Wait for the next rate drop. Then this course will be worth it.

Course was in reasonably good shape with the exception of 2 greens that were a mess.starter could use an attitude adjustment. All services were very good. Cheeseteak was reasonable.i think the price could be a little cheaper then $70 with green issues. So.e of cart path areas were rough

Played on Masters Sunday. Opening round for the year what a blast. Will be back.

First time playing this course and it was very enjoyable!

Booked through the GolfNow app and a complimentary draft beer was included. There were not a lot of long carries over water, which I appreciated. The course Superintendent is doing a great job!
