Heritage Harbour Golf Club
About

Good course
Friendly staff. The re routing took away a couple nice holes. Greens need some water. Rolled well but too firm. Would play again with hot deal.
Nice layout
Heritage Harbor offers a nice layout with holes to challenge all level of play. The greens were in really good shape. I did notice some thin areas in the fairways. Unfortunately, the pace of play was slow, we teed off almost 15 minutes after our tee time and it took 5 hours to play 18. Overall, a nice course that I would recommend and play again.
Kinda Odd —
Interesting golf course with a reasonable layout greens were decent and had lots of slope fairways were wide and relatively easy to hit.
The oddities —
A) It can play pretty short and the scorecard plays to two different pars 71 from the shorter tees and 70 from the longer. Played a lot of courses and seen it that way for men v women’s tees and thought thats what I was eyeing until I posted my score into GHIN — I had originally looked at playing the black at 6100+ but the guys I was paired with went directly to the white at 5750 — so my fault here for going with the group flow.
B) The starter camps out at the end of the range at a road crossing — no big deal but you drive the length of the first hole turn around and play back — just thought it was strange to drive 300 yards against the grain only to come back.
C) Speaking of long drives, this course is FULL of them between holes … through housing developments and wetlands it can be several hundred yards between green and tee — and a few of them seem to have been re-routed or detoured as you exit the concrete cart paths for some off dirt paths between a few holes. My guess is they never allow walkers … if so beware!
Staff in the golf shop was lazy — guy sitting on a stool didn’t smile, stand or anything looked like he was taking tickets at Busch Gardens but with less enthusiasm. One would think that he’d be more welcoming to the facility. The bag drop guy that was cleaning carts was sort of a jerk, being very short to answer and far from helpful when he did. My opinion is if you are a guy working at a golf course leading into or as a retirement gig ENJOY it and don’t be a TOOL and if you don’t like it go to WalMart and stock shelves.
Beverage cart attendant was good — didn’t try to serve people in the fairways and slow up play and did a nice job when she met you after putting out or while waiting at a tee.
Heritage Harbour - Bradenton FL
This is the second time I played this course this month. The 1st was a 5-hour round and we finished in the dark. The 2nd round was 4.5 hours and our group waited literally on every shot. But that is to be expected since it is winter in Florida and the demand for public golf is at its highest.
Need aa real ranger
Slow play at this course, a 4some from Michigan tied up the entire course, no ranger to be found. Players 2 holes behind us were leaving.
Utilize your ranger to travel to all the holes and monitor slow play, not sit in the clubhouse and drink coffee!
Over 5 hours on any golf course is a joke!
Tough Course - SLOW Play
The staff was amazing, course was in good shape. Lot's of water and a hard course for our level of play.
The only problem we had was an incredibly slow pace of play. We ended up quitting and leaving the course on the 14th hole. We noticed that after the second group in front of us, the course was wide open, so we played 18, the most beautiful hole on the course.
This pace of play kills the value for our money as we could not finish. The pace of play was pushing 5.5 hrs.
Worth Checking Out
Pace of play way slow, backed up, got better on the back. Fairways were ok, starting to green up and thicken. Greens were in good shape, hard and fast. Tough pin placements. Fun and challenging layout. Price had doubled from what I payed in December. The drink cart was good, the girl Bre was great. We enjoyed our day
They have brought this course back!!!
I was so pleasantly surprised at how good this course was yesterday. Every single green was PERFECT< fast and true and held shots! Fairways were just fine as well as tee boxes. Folks complain about the layout which is weird and confusing but since I know it and expect it it doesn't bother me. We played in 3:30 and had a blast. definitely coming back. The staff deserves a pat on the back.
1 of the first groups out in the am so pace was excellent. Beware… lots of water! If you’re a hacker bring an extra dozen.
