Mags looking solid
It has been dry which is a plus for this course. Greens look beautiful. Tricky though. Very interesting grass. Fairways and greens both look great but stay on em. Anything off the FW or Greens and you will have a sketchy bare lie at best. And you better have a good punch out game. Especially on the front 9. Mag Point is a great layout. Great course. Challenging in spots and easy in others. Great to see it so playable. Highly recommended.

Great Course for the money.
My wife and played this course and would recommend it to both men and women. Course had a great variety of hole layouts. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was the fairways had some bare spots but the the greens were in excellent shape. I'm more than happy to trade off some bare spots for greens that are in great shape. Staff in the pro shop were very friendly. Cheers
Thank you for your positive review. We appreciate you shedding light on a couple's perspective of the golf course and how it plays. Unfortunately, we have had an abnormally cold winter and the grass has gone fully dormant so we aren't growing at all until the temperatures get warmer. We look forward to you playing in the spring so we can earn that fifth star!
Nice greens. Rest of course needs work.
Greens in very good shape. Rest of course is in rough shape. Thin to bare fairways.
Layout is also kind of funky with extreme dog legs and second shots on par 4s as long as your tee shot.

Thank you for your honest review of the golf course. We are not trying to make excuses but we have had an unusually cold winter which has caused our fairways and rough to go dormant. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your experience. Hopefully you will give us another chance in the spring during our growing season to show you what the course can do.
Magnolia Point
Tees and greens were in decent shape. Greens were about an 8 on stimp , but they rolled nicely . Fairways for Feb were ok, but you need to play winter rules.
We played behind a foursome playing a 2 man scramble, they moved slower than a snails pace. No marshall seen on course.

Excellent Course: Exceeds Expectation
I played this course twice in January (I was in the area for less than two weeks). Both times were thoroughly enjoyable. The greens and tee boxes are the best of any of the publicly accessible courses that I have played.
The staff is accommodating and friendly.
There were other courses that are much closer but I felt it worth the longer ride to play Magnolia.

boring course cart was not clean no tees or towels in cart its a golf club not a country club
We appreciate your honest review and apologize for your poor experience deserving 2 stars. We strive to provide excellent playing conditions on and off the course. While we have Country Club in our title, we do not provide tees or towels with our carts. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to earn additional stars if you decide to play Magnolia Point again.

They were in great condition, as was the rest of the course.

Course update.
Challenging course with several interesting holes. Teas and greens are in excellent shape.. cart person came around four times during my round. Prices were reasonable. Also, five dollars for a small bucket of golf balls.

Good Layout
Nice layout with interesting and exciting holes. Would probably be much more fun to play in the summer. The course was Bermuda with no over seed and very brown sandy, muddy with washed away spots. Greens were a bit slow. But really don't want to give them a bad review because the staff was so nice. But for this time of the year there are several courses in the area in much better shape.

Greens featured
Due to prior rain ,had to play front nine twice but the greens were the best putted on in many years They were true & rolled well !! The fairways were minus grass in lot of areas but plush greens made up for it

Members pay no attention to rules
Had two groups in front that were both members. Both struggled with basic pace of play (keep up with group in front of you) and totally ignored the cart path only rule on holes 9-18. Great course, great staff but members are ruining the course because they are lazy and above the rules. And yes u did call the clubhouse but they were probably understaffed because they did nothing

We do our best to make sure everyone adheres to the rules but obviously there are individuals that feel they are above them. We strive to make sure the members set a positive example but clearly that was not the case on this particular day.
The greens were immaculate and in really good shape. A few tee boxes could use a little extra work, but otherwise, the course is in great condition.
