Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club - Red Course

First time playing course. No problems with the course. Would play there again.

I was a single joined with 3 other gentleman had a great time. The weather started out at 38 degrees and warmed up to a beautiful day.The course was in great shape for this time of year.

Greens were well maintained. Need a little work on a couple of the tee boxes and some areas of the fairway. All and all with being the off season one of the better maintained course for the cost.

Greens had a few bear spots and tend to absorb a lot of moisture so fairly slow greens. Also, too much hard pan around the greens, needs work.

Fair course. Greens are very slow. Some tee boxes are crowned making tee shots difficult. Nice course layout, but they need to correct these two issues.

Course has gotten much better over the last several months, but greens are still painfully slow but at least they have grass now. Also, many tee boxes are not flat which makes for difficult tee shots.

They grossly overbooked the course. They had no carts available and my tee time was pushed back nearly 40min. The guy at the pro shop was a world class jerk. He charged me an Xtra $15.00 for my wife to ride along. If they hadn't oversold the course and made us wait nearly 40 min with no cart, which meant we had to stand or sit on the steps, the Xtra charge wouldn't have been so bad. But imagine how greedy they look by overselling a courser and then having the nerve to charge a high ride along fee. After all this, the Starter who is always rude was his usual mean and rude self. He attempted to move us back again because a few kids were late for their tee time after we waited 40 min. I lost my mind at this point and told him under no circumstances will we be pushed back because someone was late for their tee time. Finally, the starter ran off with one of the carts in our group while we were on the tee box. He took the cart and parked it at the range, his excuse when we finally found the cart was that he was confused these two jerks must be part of the ownership because what other employees would treat their customers so bad? They clearly aren't worried about being fired. I'm not the only person who talked about their rudeness. Shame because the restaurant staff are amazing and the other guest are friendly and the course is usually in great shape. If this keeps up I'll be forced to stop going to this course which I've been to at least once a week for all of 2021, missing only a handful of weeks. The guy behind counter has seen me a ton but always acts like he doesn't know who I am. What a joke!!!
