Golfer Reviews
General review
Nice pro shop and clubhouse. Warm up area was in good condition and range balls provided. Tee boxes were in need of TLC, sandy and limited grass. Fairways in good condition 80+%. Work in progress, but will play again.
Not a 4 star course
The 4 star rating is not accurate. 3 at best. Fairways sparse and weedy.
Lunch and staff was amazing.
The staff and my lunch was excellent. The course is in great shape with a little bit of winter kill overall I’ll be back.
They are trying
Appears that new ownership or management has taken over. Brand new carts and redone greens. They have a difficult time dealing with the destroyed fairways and lack of traffic $$$ most of the year. The fairways soil is so bad it needs a complete expensive do over and that is not gonna happen here. The greens are heavily overseeded and run slow but they are ok. If you just want to go out and knock it around this is a good place to do it as you will play fast. Its actually has some really well laid out holes and the place could be great but thats not happening until / if they get more golfers in the area. I wish them the best and will probably be back. The monkey squirrels are pretty cool
Great time
Very friendly staff. Great course layout and in very good condition. Greens were very nice and challenging. Unlimited range balls was an unexpected plus.
Will definitely play it again sometime and highly recommended it. I don’t think you would be disappointed.
It's obvious that the new ownership group is trying to get the course in better shape, the greens are much better and although the fairways were a little spotty, they were definitely playable! I imagine after the rains come that both Citrus and Sugarmill will be in much better shape. Nice practice area at CN also! Good job, keep up the good work! And maybe the golfers can help out by sanding divots, replacing ball marks, and not driving the carts by the greens to save a couple of steps, or making short cuts with carts and pounding already stressed bermuda.
For the second straight time a foursome wouldn’t let me through as a single I had to go around them unfortunately the staff doesn’t seem to care
Course was in great shape and well worth the price.
Course conditions greatly improved
Greens and Tee boxes have thickened up and play well. Fairways are getting better, need rain and they'll green up.
