Course conditions greatly improved
Greens and Tee boxes have thickened up and play well. Fairways are getting better, need rain and they'll green up.
Great course
Always a great outing! Staff, amenities, and course are all great.
Improving Course Conditions
New ownership has made some nice changes to the operation and are improving the overall condition of the course. Greens have much improved. Fairways and tees are a work in progress but work is being done and that will result in improved playing conditions with the passage of time…👍
FIRST TIME
Nice layout, many varied holes and situations. But, like all courses I have played here of late, no rain has turned most fairways and other grassy areas to very short, hard ground, devoid of grass so not too many times where your ball is sitting up ready for your sweeping golf shot.
NOTE: From my front door to clubhouse was a one minute 45 second drive so I will be playing this course just as a matter of convenience.
Goat ranch
The layout is acceptanle. The course conditions are suitable for goats to graze. Thought course improvements were coming with new owners but money must be being spent elsewhere. Greens ok. Fairways and tee boxes lacking grass and weeds everywhere. Could not recommend to anyone in current condition. Only play there because bear me.
Value
Not the best conditioned course but new ownership is improving those. Good value…
No rangers
There are no rangers out there to monitor pace of play had a very inconsiderate foursome in front of me on the back nine that wouldn’t allow me as a single play through
Nice course, work in progress
As a threesome, I played Citrus National for the first time. We enjoyed it so much we played it again the next day. Course does need some work on the fairways; and, I could tell the fairways are clearly a work in progress. Definitely will be back for another round.
Round
Very slow play. 4 1/2 hour round. The group in front of us had teed off at least 30 minutes before we did so they were at least at 5 hours. Someone came around on the 17th I guess since it was 5:30 and the group in front of us gave him a piece of their mind.
Otherwise not bad. Greens are good condition and played fast. Tee box and fairways still need some work but are playable. Range and practice areas are good and nice to be able to hit some balls without having to add 5 plus dollars
Dry
No rain in last 2 months most courses suffering, this one no exception. Expected slow pace ,it was, played 14 holes . Would i go back, hmmm no.
CAN YOU SAY SLOW?
spent 4 hours and played 11 holes!
rack rates are a Joke ! at $50 + golf course should be LUSH- not so here- interesting layout-not much trouble but overpriced and slow!
