No rangers
There are no rangers out there to monitor pace of play had a very inconsiderate foursome in front of me on the back nine that wouldn’t allow me as a single play through
Nice course, work in progress
As a threesome, I played Citrus National for the first time. We enjoyed it so much we played it again the next day. Course does need some work on the fairways; and, I could tell the fairways are clearly a work in progress. Definitely will be back for another round.
Round
Very slow play. 4 1/2 hour round. The group in front of us had teed off at least 30 minutes before we did so they were at least at 5 hours. Someone came around on the 17th I guess since it was 5:30 and the group in front of us gave him a piece of their mind.
Otherwise not bad. Greens are good condition and played fast. Tee box and fairways still need some work but are playable. Range and practice areas are good and nice to be able to hit some balls without having to add 5 plus dollars
Dry
No rain in last 2 months most courses suffering, this one no exception. Expected slow pace ,it was, played 14 holes . Would i go back, hmmm no.
CAN YOU SAY SLOW?
spent 4 hours and played 11 holes!
rack rates are a Joke ! at $50 + golf course should be LUSH- not so here- interesting layout-not much trouble but overpriced and slow!
BAD CUSTOMER SUPPORT
PLAYED 6 HOLES-----CAME OUT AND SAID CREDIT CARD DID NOT WORK------SO GAVE IT AGAIN ENDED UP BEING DOUBLE BILLED REPORTED IMMEDIATELY THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO ----GAVE COPIES -----STILL NO CREDIT hUMNNNNN?

we played behind some very slow players- they fell over a hole behind those ahead. Those same players had the audacity to complian about us getting to close to the green despite our handicap flag and that we were not too close. Life is too short , mind their own business . We did not complain about their slow play dispite waiting on every hole.
Fun but crowded
Good course, challenging. Very dry but no one’s fault. Crowded so okay was slow.
Great Place to Golf!
Very friendly staff. Significant improvements have been made by new owners. Course was in good shape. Other golfers I encountered were friendly and played at a steady pace. One thing I will say is if it has been a while since you played the course when it was known as Southern Woods, you might want to give it a try!
Very Nice Course!! You should try it!
Very nice staff who made me feel welcome. I really enjoyed my round even though it was raining lightly on and off. I believe the course itself has significantly improved under the new ownership/ management. Without a doubt, I will lay this course again and I will recommend it to my friends!
Pace of play
We were directed to start on the back nine. The pace of play was very slow. Took 2.45 hrs. The front nine we played fast as there was nobody ahead of us. Finished in 1.30 hrs.
We sh they had a beverage cart and the clubhouse was open regularly. Other than that, great course and wonderful staff!!! Jason is awesome!
