About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Golf etiquette
Pace of play was slow due to golfers not familiar with or don’t care about other golfers. It took me 3 hours to play 9 holes.
Staff is friendly and provides good customer service.
Practice area is great shape and a nice driving range.
The Great Escape
Since finding the Groves I seem to be booking a found a week there. It’s like an oasis from the day to day homelife. I look forward to the next opportunity I have to play there again. Place is impeccable. Truly a dream course.

Great short course
Everyone at the club was so friendly from start to finish. Great short course on a post-rain cool day - not terribly busy so the pace was good and we were able to start early. Very nicely taken care of despite bad weather the days before.

Groves golf
Great course. Extremely friendly staff. The ranger Butch is outstanding. Always remembers my name and always greets me with a smile. The only negative I can say about this course is the bar service is very slow and drinks are pricey compared to other golf courses in the area. Pro shop guys are great Nico is outstanding. A well manicured course. Some challenging high risk with high rewards holes if you make the tee shot.

Top Notch Course!
I moved back to FL a year ago and discovered this little jewel in the rough. It's not a long course, but it makes up for it in some holes that make you think through your shots carefully. Wetlands, ponds and hole shaping can mess you up quickly if you don't. Course staff has always been great from the pro shop to the rangers. And the course is very well maintained. Highly recommend this course to anyone! A++

Ladies League
I moved to Land O Lakes, Fl in November 2022 and found this course near our home. I was looking for a women's league to play in, and I got invited to play in this league by a current member. I was welcomed by everyone and made to feel comfortable playing with the ladies, in spite of my poor golf performance on the course. I am not an experienced golfer and get frustrated easily, so I am happy that this is a short course, which is typically easier for someone like me. I hope to get better with the encouragement of the wonderful ladies I get to play with!

Amazing Executive Course
Have played at The Groves many times over the past year. This a great executive course nestled in Land O Lakes, FL. Layout of course is great for all levels of experience. Highly recommended visiting this course. The deer, critters and gators are a sight to see while golfing at The Groves.

Great for the Average Golfer
Smaller 18 hole course that makes up for size with hooks, nook, and cranny’s sound every corner. Challenging enough for the amateur but still potential for the average Joe to put in a few good shots.
Nice fairways
Fairly short course, but in great condition. Nice bar in the clubhouse.
Excellent course, friendly staff
The course is one of my favorites. Always in excellent condition, pace of play is always good, and friendly staff. When you’re done go inside for a drink and a bite to eat. The food is very good.
Great Value for the Money
This course is always fun to play and in great shape for the price. We return often because of the proximity to our home and never leave upset (other than when we play poorly)!
