Greens were a little didn’t match the practice greens and bumpy on the course

I hadn't played this course in over a year because the greens were in terrible shape. The greens are now in good shape, but they putt SLOW. I find that most of the public courses I play have a fairly uniform speed. It took several holes to adjust to the slow greens and even after 18 hole, I still left more putts short than long. The rough is also cut higher than most other courses, and the ball would disappear in the deep grass. I had a very bad day driving the ball, so I was in the rough a lot. The fairways were in great shape,. The bunkers were in good shape. The course has a very nice layout. Water comes into play on many holes. The staff was friendly and pro shop personnel wore masks. I would have enjoyed the round more if I could have kept my drives in the fairway..

Winston Trails is in excellent condition, course & greens. My only and major problem was an overwhelming lack of sanitization and protection at this time. It is the only course I'm aware of (right now), that has an open putting green...GREAT, BUT, people were on top of one another and very few worse masks). IN FACT the guys working outside were no wearing masks and when I mentioned it to the employee trying to find me a cart (all being used) he said "you don't have to wear a mask outside". And the cart...they took someones bag and items out and then told me to take the cart...BUT, not sanitized.

I loved the course and i will go back at a future time, but not until things change. I could go on and on, but it's useless. In a nutshell, "the care they took under these very difficult conditions was insulting."

A wonderful day at Winston Trails. I totally recommend playing this course.

This is an excellent layout with 1st taste greens that you can make as tough as you want through tee selection.

Hygiene is good, staff wears facemassks, single file in the clubhouse, no rakes etc. Pace of play is back to normal as I think groups were going out every 8-9 minutes. Driving range still not open but putting and chipping greens are.

Really nice to be back.

Played 7 holes today after the rain. Course drained really well, no flooding anywhere. Tee box's, fairways and greens were 8.5/9 out of 10 for a public course. Plays longer than you think, really nice layout. Golf carts are fairly new and FAST! COVID 19 approved. Highly recommended!

What a diamond in the rough! Excellent greens, stellar layout and a perfect challenge for all skill levels. If you think bay hill is nice - wait till you see this place! No matter if it’s a bachelor party, sweet 16, or just a round with your buddies - WINSTON HILLS IS THE PLACE TO BE !

Course and greens in great shape. Sand in the bunkers! Very good practice facilities and very friendly staff.
