About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Atlantic still a treat
Very challenging track. Greens are fast and true. Windy day made it more challenging. Only nit was ranger telling us at the turn that we had to speed play when the group behind us never caught up and we finished in exactly four hours. Attractive and demanding with greens well protected.

Course is very playable layout, good condition and the best pace of play.
Atlantic - nice but $100 = notcsure
Back nine much nicer than front nine. Quieter. Prettier. No traffic noise or highways. Decent track. Greens in mostly terrific shape. Pretty much like every other south Florida course. I’d recommend it but not sure it’s worth $100.

Nice staff, good conditions
Played a quick late afternoon 9 holes. Staff was very friendly.
Good track with decent fairways and good greens. It’s your typical “Florida Subdivison Track”…houses on every hole, flat terrain, nice but slow greens…course feels old and tired but not rundown. Good value, good track, nothing to get overly excited about or anything to be dissatisfied with when it’s all said and done.

Nice Course
Overall, this is a nice course, greens rolled true and it was in really nice condition with subtle breaks. It was very windy and we got sprinkled on a few times, I guess which caused a +1 PCC on my posted score. Still, we playing in about 4 hours.
Unfortunately, I have a couple of "gripes". First, the driving ranged was closed until 10AM for maintenance Second, the restaurant did not open until 9:00AM. My Tee Time was 8:50AM so I went to the 1st Tee stiff and hungry.
Overall, it was worth playing for the cost.

Staff very friendly and helpful in the most part. At the ninth hole trying to get something to eat was challenging. There obviously was not enough staff to look after golfers wanting something to eat quickly., the Course marshal was rude.

Excellent course
Excellent welcome by staff outside. Staff inside not very helpfull when we bought refreshments at the turn. We finished at 4:30 and were denied buying beer after our game...
