About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Nice day out!
Course conditions were excellent and the pace of play was fine. The greens were super fast and being a very windy day putting was a challenge.

Desperate for money
They are so desperate for money they will charge you for a player that can't make it due to child illness. Sorry I didn't see that 24 hours in advance. Pathetic!

Considering Yourself Warned!!
This course will charge you another tee time fee ($75) if your buddy cannot make it. I had a tee time for a 2-some on Sunday and wound up being only a single. After paying for my tee time, 2 days later the course instructed GolfNow to charge me another $75 for a "no show fee" for the other tee time. No one in the Pro Shop told me about this when I checked in and to my knowledge, it's the only course in Palm Beach county adhering to this un-customer friendly policy. I have made 4-some tee times at other courses through GolfNow and wound up with only a 3-some and have never been charged for the other tee time. Very bad policy, especially during COVID, and the Manager (Mark) was unwilling to change. He just lost a customer, who is a very frequent golfer.

The course was in the best shape I've seen it in 10 years.Fairways firm and fast. And greens running Smooth at 11 1/2

Great course
Atlantic National is in great conditions, super fast greens, nice fairways, bunkers are well kept.
Unfortunately, at this time the greens are firm and not holding at all, unless you are a pro. Super fast means tough to play sometimes unfair pins placement. Don't get me wrong it,s one of the best course in Palm beach county.

I enjoyed the course. a lot of water with well guarded greens Would recommend playing need to be a fairly accurate golfer

Overall Review from first time player
Professional staff from arrival to cart return. Excellent course conditions, divots filled and greens running fast.
Pace of play excellent, 3 hrs 40 minutes

Good track, besides the turnpike along side for a few holes on the front nine.
Greens are smooth and running true, fairways need attention in some area's but still very playable.
Good staff, they do run a tight ship and do it well!

Great place
Some nice mounding, interesting green contours, doglegs, deep bunkers, multiple tee boxes, and great condition all make for a great place to play.
Snack bar is nothing special, helpful staff, great carts. We look forward to coming back.
