About
Formerly known as Grand Lacuna Golf Club, this par-71 championship course now goes by the name Atlantic National Golf Club. Designed in the late 1980s by Joe Lee, the course was designated one of the 50 best public courses in Florida. The challenging layout has plenty of variety that will require all different types of shots. Golfers will find that they need to use every club in their bag. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the strategically placed bunkers that lurk along the greensides and fairways are particularly tricky. There are some tough holes but it is an accommodating layout for all skill levels, especially since it has four diverse sets of tees. In addition to the golf course, Atlantic National offers a grass driving range, two putting greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker.

Well Kept, Friendly
Course was in great shape. Impressed that all divots were filled, ball marks repaired. Staff very friendly . Will definitely play again. COVID killed the off course amenities, as 19th hole close early.

Great course
Course is beautifully laid out and bonus is having GPS in every cart. Has a good driving range, putting and chipping greens.
Only thing I can complain about is if you book closer to afternoon time, you might get a foursome ahead of you taking way too much time. We had to skip their hole and move passed them. But great course and I’ll be back again.

Nice layout, lousy pro shop staff, bad management
Went to play an afternoon round and after 2 holes the skies opened up for 30 minutes to where there was standing water on the green and fairway. Radar showed a long line of showers moving in over the course. Went back in to inquire about a rain check and along with the dozen or so others were told no rain checks would be issued unless the superintendent closes the course. I was welcome to wait until they made that decision.
I chose not to wait, I would have accepted a 9 hole rain check, since obviously getting anymore golf in was not going to be likely. As I am writing this, about 90 min after leaving the course, it is still raining. The pro shop attendant's excuse that it is a private course and those are the rules again not really showing that they care about anything other than whatever revenue they can capture. Won't be returning...

Nice course, inconsistent greens
Have played this course many times & enjoy it. Staff is not particularly friendly, but during COVID, there is very little interaction anyway. We had a pleasant round and played at an excellent pace. Drawbacks were the greens & carts. Greens very inconsistent, some slow, others fast, all 4 of us felt this was a problem. The carts are nice and have good GPS (much appreciated). However, they are electronically controlled and the max speed was limited to 2 to 7 MPH on much of the course. This extended the time it took to play significantly and was really irritating.

Only about money with these people!
I booked a single tee time for my wife and I came along to ride with her since I have a torn biceps tendon and cannot swing a club. We drove 45 minutes to get to the course and encountered heavy rain the last 10 minutes. I went into the pro shop to check in in case the weather improved and told the guy at the counter that only my wife was playing and what my situation was. I mentioned that I was planning to go with her ( a mistake as I found out too late!). He told me that was fine as long as I payed another $20 (to cover their insurance he said!). I said never mind, I would just walk and he then said waliking was not allowed! He had a negative answer for everything. So given the iffy weather situation and their snotty attitude I told him we were cancelling. and left. Gofnow was EXCELLENT about doing a cancellation for me when I called and told them what had happened. Thank you!!!

Additionally, it is company policy that ALL riders are subject to a $20.00 rider fee. The rider fee is to serve as proof that should any incidents occur while on club property, YOU acknowledged responsibility and liability.
