Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

Tough great greens
Staff a plus layout and greens a plus when every other course is ripping everyone off with 100 rounds of golf forest oaks is 50 that’s like a bogo st public’s. Seriously the greens are in great shape the course is tough and tight.

Not going back
Course was in Rough condition, it’s very narrow, close to houses and the pace of play got so slow on the back with all the par 3s and players ahead of us teaming up into a group of 6
Best part was we could get out easily after the 16th hole and we were so happy we did!
Fun course with fair conditions at best
Greens were pretty nice. Fairways.... not so much. Pretty burnt out you were hitting off the ground much of the time.
Course is just in brutal shape, nice staff, good food, cheap beers. Impossible to justify this as a $50 round.
Don’t waste your time playing here
This was my first and last time playing here. This course is horrendous and has a number of issues. The pace of play is extremely slow, the course is not maintained in the slightest, and each hole is way too narrow. The only grass on EVERY hole is on the green. Other than that, every fairway AND tee box is either sand or dirt. This course is not worth the money and you are without a doubt better off paying an additional 30-40 dollars and playing somewhere respectable (like Palm Beach National or Lake Worth Golf Course). I’m angry I took a day off from work for this and would have rathered to hit the range or just not golfed at all.
Great Staff, Course needs Love
This was a tough, narrow course! To make it harder the fairways were dry as dirt. The staff was very friendly and helpful and it is a shame that the owners don’t want to put some more love into this course. It could be a great establishment.
Forest Oaks
Fantastic coarse. Joined with 3 local players, had a great round. Would definitely recommend.
First time
This course is a lot of fun. It’s short but requires solid shot making. Greens were in good shape and you could fire at the pin. Fairways are in tough shape, very firm with very little give or grass. We agreed to roll over the ball in the fairway to find a reasonable lie and had a blast. Staff is very accommodating and friendly- worth the trip for a reasonable priced round.

Great Greens!
Greens were in very good shape and rolling very nice, not too fast and not too slow, at least for me. Most bunkers were in bad shape as were the fairways, however you are getting a lot of roll, watch out for the hazards with that roll.
