About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Nice but short
Only a par 64 so beware as I didn’t realize it when I booked my reservation. No driving range either and putting green or very small. It’s a nice course. I enjoyed it. Pace of play is good. People were very friendly and nice.
tricky greens but in really nice condition
Par is 64 but it plays harder. Many smallish elevated greens sloping on all sides. The putting surfaces are fast and roll nice. I'm a pretty good putter and they are quit challenging. Makes up for the shorter course yardage. Tees need work and fairways could use water. It's been unusually dry in S Florida sine last October so it's no surprise. Bunkers are very firm, which is not typical in Florida, and much harder to play than fluffy sand. I will definitely play it again.
Great value
Great executive style course. A few short par 5s mixed in. Staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and always try to accommodate your needs. Greens are surprisingly good and tend to be on the quicker side. Overall a great value for the price.
A lot of fun at Poinciana
We played this course for the first time on a recommendation of and friend and it did not disappoint. It’s not fancy country club status but very playable, a great layout and the greens were outstanding. We all had a great time and will definitely be back. For the price it can not be beat in Palm Beach county. Definitely worth a try you will be surprised at how much fun, you can hit every club in your bag. Not your typical executive golf course.
great little course
I live nearby and thoroughly enjoy playing here. The Owners and Staff are great!
Ok course
Paired with a nice couple. Friendly staff. Didn't stay for something to eat, but looks fantastic.
As for the course tee boxes, and fairways need a lot of work. Greens were OK. Mostly plays like an executive course. For me I needed to work on my short game.
Affordable golf, friendly staff
Enjoyed the afternoon playing here. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Course was great for my wife because it wasn’t too long. Greens were very good. Fairways were recently fertilized and should thicken soon.
Good Value
Pace was good very busy, and the staff were excellent.
