About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Getting Better- Worth Another Look
This course was in poor shape but has recently had a makeover
GREENS ARE IN EXCELLENT SHAPE
Some tee boxes are either temporary, in need of repair, or sub par shape
Overall conditions are excellent
STARTERS and PRO SHOP Personnel are friendly and helpful
Course is short. First timers may have trouble navigating some holes..
BE CAREFUL ON par 4 10th hole SHARP DOG-LEG right green is easily confused with 11th green KEEP TO THE RIGHT!!!
Not the best
Pros: friendly staff and the greens were firm/uniform
Cons: fairways mostly weeds, sand traps are in horrible shape, course design has you playing into on coming golfers and it is really a par 3 course with a couple of longer holes.
Florida trip
Lots of par 3s. Not a regulation course. Par is 62. Not as pretty s most courses in Florida. It was cheap and fun. Staff was great!!!

Greens were fast, but true.. like them the best as far as the overall course..
Greens are fairly fast but the fairways and tee boxes need work
With a little work the course could be pretty decent. The fairways have a mix of grass & weeds which makes it hard to hit from. The greens are the best asset of the course as they are in good shape.
Friendly course Nice layout and Greens
It’s not par 72 has a combination of many par threes par fours and par fives excellent pace of play terrific staff good course for mid to high handicap golfers
Slowest Pace of Play in all of South Florida
The title says it all. What should have been a 2 hour round turned into 4 hours of Life Alert Watch. Not only that but there were maintenance workers from the surrounding living areas in the open not aware that people are playing golf also slowing the pace of play even more. Don’t come here if you expect to play a smaller course in lesser time than a larger course. You can finish Atlantic National in the same amount of time with a group of 4.

Excellent greens, new management doing overall improvement, next fairways and tee boxes. Fun course to play especially if you want to dial in your iron play.
good Value
This course is located in the middle of a condo community. Fairways are bit dry and tired looking. Tee boxes at times void of grass. sand traps in desparate need of some grooming. Greens were in pretty good condition. Not a great course , but good value for the money. Also, no driving range.
