About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Great Time - GREAT GREENS!
First time playing here and what a fun experience it was!! Staff was great, course layout is extremely fun it's not your typical executive golf course it has 3 GOOD par 5's and 4 GOOD par 4's and a bunch of really good par 3's. THE GREENS ARE AS GOOD AS ANY PRIVATE COURSE IN THE AREA!! The tees and fairways need some work but are very playable. All in all a great experience and I will definitely be back.
Good value
With three par 5s, four par 4s, and the rest par 3s, it was a fun course to play. It’s layout within a condo community, allowed for some flexible shots...not too narrow, and not too frustrating. Will play this again.
Fun time
First time playing there coupled with my wife and I hadn't played in over 2 years! Great experience and super friendly staff made us feel like we have been there hundred of times!
Staff is INCREDIBLE
Course is great, a little chewed up in areas but they are staying on top of it. I also like the hybrid executive/normal course the layout has.
Nothing beats how great this staff is. We played with 6 which is generally taboo but they were more than accommodating and were super respectful of us and other golfers by helping coordinate play throughs. Overall super positive experience
Greens were satisfactory. Fairway need major work.

Very impressed by the greens, very true! The rest of the course is coming along, there is obviously work being done to improve the overall condition.
A fun experience, good place for a nice quick round.
Hybrid executive course
Didn’t realize as I booked the round that it is a very short course. Still fun to play and practice the short game
WOW!
I have played this course for years past and was really disappointed with its condition. I replay it when I learn that there are now new operators. What a huge surprise I had to see the changes initiated by the new management. Gentlemen, I take my hat off to you. I play golf regularly and rate your greens exceptional and fast. I see the work you do, it's obvious. Nothing is perfect, the fairways are to be worked on as well as some tee boxes. Can't wait to go back and see the changes you make. I'm sure we'll be talking a lot about Poinciana soon!

Played here right after a round at Okaheelee and although this course can’t match what Okaheelee offers, Poinciana is still a fun course.
Great affordable short course
Poinciana is a great affordable short course for the average golfer. Not very challenging and a few par 5s thrown into the mix of the many 3s and 4s. The greens are recently redone and are fantastic the tee boxes need some attention but they are actively renovating the course it seems. Will play there again!
