Far and away better han any course I've played
Fairways and greens in great condition. Many water hazards were very low or totally dry. Plenty of hills and slopes on fairways and greens. Ample traps and sandy waste areas to capture errant shots. Forced carries from the two backmost tees. Each cart has it's own rake on board. Well appointed practice area. This course is not friendly for walkers.
I would play it again if the chance arises.
Good course good price
Not the most beautiful on the area. Too many homes around the course. Although it's a great challenging course.
Really a members only course
Variable club selection required, like irons and lofted hybrids or woods from many tees. Green slope very challenging. Good conditions through out, but not very scenic. Course not well marked and multiple paths to/from tees making negotiating the from hole to hole challenging. No beverage cart, so you must wait to stop at the little tiki type stand off the path from 9th to 10th.
Upon return to the club house after our round, staff were missing, so we unloaded and left. Parting shot from a lagging staff person as we were leaving "are you done" - I won't be back. This is really a members only course and should be sought as a a middle to late option for your round.
very lush, wooded and mature features
All you can ask for in terms of risk / reward; very challenging especially on the maiden voyage.
Thought provoking
We played 6 different courses in our three week stay in Naples at $69 it was by far the best value. The course, particularly the back nine, calls for some considered club selection more akin to the courses we play at home in the UK. The fairways and greens we very we'll maintained. The greens on our day were set with 'Supt's revenge' positions which made things even more challenging and thought provoking and I guess fun. Some of the reads were very difficult but even playing off 20c I still enjoyed it. My wife plays off 26 and we played with two other guests playing off 15. My wife played off the the Aqua tees and the guys and I used the Gold tees. Great round of Golf
Lots of Sand
This course is in pristine condition - probably the prettiest course we've played. However, the fairways are somewhat narrow and there are many, many bunkers along the way. This course would be great for a low handicap player, but for those of us who are less "skilled", it is frustrating. Glad we tried it though!
Good course, staff kind of rude...
The course conditions were pretty good, the only thing I hated was that the driving range was into water and ended at the first fairway. If you tee off and hug the right side of the fairway or go slightly off right, you will lose your ball among all the range balls as it is easy to out drive the water on the range. One swing, fairway hit, one lost pro v1 in a haystack of range balls. Rest of the course is good and challenging. When I checked in, the guy in the pro shop looked down his nose at me when I asked to check in. I gave hime my name and tee time and all he said was "ok, carts are there" no instructions to range or first hole, nothing.
BEAUTIFUL COURSE
Great facility, very pristine condition--one of the best courses in the area.
In one word...AMAZING!!!
The course was in immaculate condition. The greens were fast but true. Some of the holes were very picturesque. Will certainly be back!
Great course - great condition - love it!
From tee to green this course is excellent - the condition is great and I just love the type of grass - greens fast bot not glassy.
Course was immaculate
Outstanding course. In pristine condition. The greens were undulating but the ball rolled nicely. Several interesting holes. Would definitely play again.
A little too slow of pace, but we were a twosome.
Excellent course, nice facilities. Good driving holes, though there are 3 par 4's in a row on the back where a hybrid or 5 wood are best off the tee. Take a sky caddie or yardage book, not all trouble viable from the tee boxes.
First time we played staff was a little cold. Much better the second time around. Manager in the bar was top shelf.
I love this course. The waterfall short par 4 is my favorite.
Except for three wet holes the course was in great shape and the greens we'll maintained.
The staff was very friendly except for the guy who picked up my golf bag from the trunk of my car.
Beautiful course
Definitely one of the most beautiful courses I've played on in Naples. Loved the nature and course was immaculate. Will go back for sure!
A great test for all the clubs in your bag!
Very varied layout. with a lot of tactical short par 4s. There is always a generous bailout area for you to favor. The speed of all the greens is very consistent from one hole to another, and though not the fastest around, some ondulations create just enough of a challenge. The key is to pick the right set of tee box for your game! A steal for $19 before noon, including range balls! Thanks GolfNow!
Great days golf
Course was in great condition, with 1 temporary green. Cart with hire clubs were sitting waiting on arrival, the marshall showed us to the practice ground which was excellent and advised us when we could start playing. We stopped for lunch at the 9th, good choice of food and well appointed restrooms etc. All in all a great days golf on a good course with friendly staff.
Pristine course
The staff in the clubhouse was less than ideal but the course certainly made up for it. The fairways and tees were some of the best I have seen and they recently fertilized the greens so I know they will be great as well. No course map, gps or yardage book made playing this course for the first time a guessing game sometimes. Not many blind shots but you always would like to know where to be before your shot. Golfnow had a GREAT value for this course and we were done in just about 3 hours. Great course.
The best fairways we've played in Florida this holiday
This was our second visit to Forest Glen and we were pleased to receive a much better welcome in the Pro Shop than last time when the guy behind the counter steadfastly ignored us for several minutes. This time we received a friendly welcome which was repeated by the starter. We then enjoyed 18 holes of golf on the best fairways we've experienced this holiday. The course was fairly quiet and when my wife came up behind a fourball we were very swiftly allowed to play through. The only disappointment was that the green for the 9th hole - one of the signature holes - was not in play as the new green is still settling in. That didn't detract from our enjoyment of what is an extremely high quality course that presents an excellent challenge to golfers of all standards.
Great, tricky Course
very trickey course, great maintained. perfect fairways and greens. even the driving range was in a perfect shape. very friendly staff. just a few golfer were out in the afternoon. you should play a round there.
challenging and fun for a good golfer
semi private in off season, private in season, well maintained and a challenging course.
