Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club - Panther/Bobcat Course
About
There are three nines at the Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club, which can be played individually, consecutively, or as three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine has a unique layout with different challenges but all share the same lush landscape covered with stately trees and water features. The Panther/Bobcat combination offers a mix of narrow and wide fairways, some of which are lined with trees. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greensides and there are also water hazards coming into play on a number of holes. Located just northwest of Tampa along the west Florida coast, the nines represent the best of Florida golf. Silver Dollar also boasts some of the area's most affordable rates, which makes the versatile layouts doubly appealing.

Silver Dollar Golf Club
This was a challenging course for the money, the staff was great except the guy at the counter did not like the fact that we had bought on golf now.
Our parents are in there 70’s and it was nice not being pushed!
Very long but very nice
This course had 6 par 5s which made it very long and hard to play. This would be good for long hitters of which I am not. In very good shape staff were friendly. No complaints.
Great Course at a great price
I have been playing Silver Dollar for years now and was never a bad experience. The new greenskeeper has the tees and greens in impeccable shape. This course has a great labour good fair ways, and nature abound. Great to play there and recommend playing here.
Cow Pasture
Paying $10 to play in a cow pasture makes the local RV snowbirds happy, but for someone who lives in the area and plays golf weekly, I prefer better conditions. You get what you pay for and this course lives up to the $10 expectation. Mostly retirees that live in the trailer park are playing here. The photo of the dried up pond under course details about sums it up.
Best bang for your buck
Received a golf voucher to play the course at 1:45 but being early, got sent out early, surprisingly. We followed no one and had a single a few holes behind us. The course is challenging enough, particularly the water holes. My partner, a long hitter, ran into difficulties. Not hitting as long, I had no problems. The greens were quick & in good shape. The cart server was friendly & came around often. We got around in 3 hours, had fun & were well pleased with the course. While there is a nearby shooting range, there were few bang bangs, and not enough to be a nuisance. You can shoot a low score here if you pay attention & are careful placing your shots. Go for broke & you’ll be sorry you did.
Enjoyed it.
It was our first time playing it and we were almost the first out in the morning. We sailed around but I think it would be slower, later in the day. We got turned around on a couple of the holes because it wasn't well marked. Will play it again.
Good for the money
Golf course is in very good condition, few fairways need some improvements, all greens are in super condition, the food and beer are excellent and very good prices!
Average at best.
First time playing this course and I found in a little difficult to follow the layout. Needs much more directional infirmation. Score card course layout is very poor. Greens OK but Tee box's need attention plus some fairway cutting could be improved. Nice price if thats what you are looking for.
Ok, I like.
Green and fairway condition improved since last time I played. Staffs some are very friendly but other not so, they are to remember we are the customer!!
golfing blind
Very poor markings to find the next hole ,you could be on the Panther and be on the Bobcat the next hole. They need to have more directions signs ! Cutting of grass was poor due to grass piles on fairways . Would I play here again, yes I would.
3 nine holes course
We played the Panther and the Bobcat great courses, both in great condition, the green are at the best condition.
A great morning of golf!
Course is in good condition. No green-side bunkers helps with the pace of play and lower scores. The young gent at check-in (FSU student) was very pleasant and helpful.
Gator & Panther
Several of the reviews are spot on. Got this course as a hot deal on golf now for about $15 per golfer so you can't beat the deal. Fairways are kept nice, but tee boxes could use some work. Guy in the office is not very welcoming, but the starter was awesome and very polite. Gator course has a lot of dog legs which are difficult but fun.
Worth the money ? Mostly
Overall the course is decent. Its not a TPC nor does it charge like it. Really pretty cheap and its worth what you pay. I gave the staff one star overall because of one person in the pro shop. He's generally short tempered and rude. The others in the pro shop are friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff is exceptional.
Challenging course
They have 3 nine hole courses. We played the Gator then the starter told us there was a tournament in progress ahead and play would be slow on the Panther. We could play the Panther if we like, so we did. Good friendly advice.
The course is challenging yet forgiving. Some holes you will get in trouble if you use the driver off the box. The Panther greens seemed a little slower but still in good shape. The whole course was well kept, no dead.grass or bare spots anywhere that I saw.
Great Course and Great Manager
Bobby Coppabianco is a people person guy. Very amicable and very fair.
Our church held our Golf Outing here for the first time. My congregation loved it, and wanted to play here again.
Friendly and beautiful people is what makes this place recommendable.
We played there just yesterday and the course played great. People should go see for themselves in my opinion.
