Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club - Gator/Panther Course
About
Located just northwest of Tampa, Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club sprawls across the lush landscape of the west Florida coast. The club offers three nines: the Gator, the Panther, and the Bobcat. The nines can be played individually for a quick round or in three different 18-hole combinations. The Gator/Panther layout offers a good balance of challenges and player-friendly features. Narrow, tree-lined fairways are complemented by generous landing areas. There are sparkling lakes and ponds that come into play on a few holes and strategically placed bunkers are situated along the greensides. In addition to the three golf courses, Silver Dollar boasts one of the area's most extensive practice facilities, which includes a full driving range, two putting greens, a pitching and chipping green with a sandtrap, and three practice holes.

PGA quality greens
I was impressed with the greens, best shape ever. Keep up the good work.
Gun Range attached to golfcoure?
greens were good but rest of course was a dump and there was a gun range literally right beside the panther curse which was extremely annoying
Ranger knows how to ruin a round
course personnel sure know how to unnecessarily ruin a decent round of golf.
Open golf
This is a great golf course with lots of different layouts. Lots of doglegs, water, and challenging Par 3’s. Even with the cart paths it was hard to follow the holes in sequence. There are 3 different 9 hole courses and they enter twine. The only drawback was they were skeet shooting on the other side of the road. Just a little noisy. Course was in good playing condition. Enjoyed the day. Tight tree lined fairways. I would definitely play this course again. Didn’t eat there but restaurant look clean and food smelt very good.
Good course with good conditions
Course is nothing special really but they always have the course in good condition. Course is never more that $29 so u can’t really go wrong .
Good track.
Played by myself. Very very windy day. The course is very challenging. I found the greens in good condition. Shot a 95. I'm a 12 handicap. I'll be back there. To better my score. Hopefully will get some rain.
I have seen the greens & tee boxes in better shape
Late March 18 holes
I teed off at 8:22 am. The course was already very busy and the pace of play was slow. The greens were in good shape. Fairways were hard and need water. The greens got faster as the day progressed. Overall a great value.
Worth the money
I've played this course many times, for the price it's Okay. Greens are in good shape but that's about it.
Nice Track..
Not a bad track. But clubhouse was closed up by the time we finished.
GOT A HOLE IN ONE ON 13.. Yeah man..
Silver Dollar.
Played 27 holes in 4.30hrs. by myself. Greens were a tad slow but smooth. Enjoyed the warm day and the chance to hit the odd practice shot as the course was pretty empty.
Great
The course is in great shape, very professional staffs and the greens a in very good shape, some fairways need some improvement, but overall are very good.
The course was in much better condition than in November. Some.bare spots n places but very playable. Staff very friendly & willing to please.
So slow
We played on ladies day and expected slow play. But the front nine took 2:25 minutes. Then, when we saw the group in front of us were only playing nine holes, we hurried to the 10th hole only to find a two some snuck in front of us so we had to wait again. Finally that group skipped 2 holes because of another slow group and we skipped 1 hole and it still took over 2 hours. I will go back again or wait until the snow birds are gone.
Better to find another course!
Quite honestly, this was the most unhospitable golf complex I have visited in my golfing career. From the check in with the guy in the pro shop to the pace of play with four people and four carts for each group.
The pro shop was well stocked and about 300% higher than most. The help there was extremely rude and did not have one ounce of customer service. I would fire that guy if he was my employee. I think he must be a work camper or something, his name tag said he was from Wisconsin or somewhere like that.
The carts are old, and in dire need of repair. This course is flat and even at that the cart barley made it around the course. As I mentioned above, most foursomes in front of us all had four carts. Mostly husband and wife combos and to say the pace was slow is an understatement. To make matters worse, don't plan on ANYONE letting you play through. The group in front of us had three open holes in front of them and would not let anyone play through.
When I approached them, they simply ignored me, and told me to wait my turn like everyone else.
The course is moderatly easy, and greens were very long and very slow. Maintenance was just so-so. Flat course.
This is a golf course located in a trailer/rv park. Loaded with people 70+ on the golf course. If you play 18 holes plan on spending at least 6 horus.
If this was the only place I had to play golf, I would give up the game.
Great Course and in all seasons greens and tees are in great shape. Fairways good for this time of year. I recommend this course 100%. Great nature abound
