Golf Club At South Hampton

I've played this course a few times and want to first say I have enjoyed this course every time I play it. However, this time the greens on every hole were burnt and had patches of just sand on them. Fairways were not much better but at least they were not burnt on every hole. Check with the pro shop before booking to see if the course is in good condition but I feel this issue will not be fixed any time soon.

first time playing South Hampton in over 2 years and I remember the greens being some of the best, now they can only be called Average at best. Slow, bumpy bare spots and weeds..oh my! Need more sand in the bunkers also. Hope the greenskeeper can get them back in shape soon.

Greens are in awful shape. They should be embarrassed to charge this much.

Love Playing South Hampton. Not sure why but greens 1-4 were awful. Bumpy and crusty with tons of bare sandy spots. Rest of greens were fair to average. Tee Boxes pretty chewed up and fairways were decent but need some watering and rain.

I am not sure what is happenning with the conditions but it is not pretty right now. Many of the greens in the front nine need help really bad. It was not a good experience.

However, I am confident they are going to get them back.

Big change from when I last played here 4 months ago. Greens are unplayable. Waited on every single shot. Did not play the back nine because pace of play and green conditions so poor. 2 1/2 hours to play the front.

daddy bought the course for sons Willy and Derek DeStefano but they hang out at Ponte Vedra courses.

The course was in terrbile conditon. The absolute wrost ive seen in Jacksonville. It used to be one of the nicest and you would go there to play and shoot low. Weeds everywhere. Greens sand pits. Teh company that bought them needs to consider a change in undustries. 4 and 1/2 hours to play with a 2 some. There was no ranger to push the guys in front of us faster. Wehn we got to 18 they apologized for the slow play. The groups in front of us caused a back up of 3 grouips on each tee box after hole 5. $60 to play at 118 is rediculous for the conditions. I will honestly never go again.

Paying a premium Price(65 on golf Now) for terrible greens. Other area of course are lacking grass. We have not played here in at least 8 months due to higher cost compared to Courses in the area. We will not be back until conditions vastly improve. Oh yeah and no GPS on carts.

Really disappointed. We had a 30% discount today.

Other reviews are correct it's in terrible shape..dirt holes in the greens..

Some greens were used to plug others with 40 old cup holes poorly filled..

Range is a dirt path as has been the case for a long time.. They should have invested in good mats rather than adding more range flags

$30 to $40 is the max they should be charging

Nice, well maintained and very courteous staff. Layout could be challenging from back tees but a forgiving course as well.

Wasn't as good as it's been in past years, but still a good course.

I gotta tell you this is tough because I really do enjoy this golf course. But the condition of the greens have been, and continue to be terrible. This place has such a great layout and is a comfortable round for the average player, but the greens are gonna keep me from going back until I hear they’ve made massive improvements

Course is in good condition, greens are fast with lots of movement. Great course to play.

Course chipping greens were in terrible shape, as well as the whole course greens , fairways didn’t look that good for that amount of money

Excellent course layout is all it has going for it. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were chewed up and weedy. Putting was nearly impossible.
