Golf Club At South Hampton

The greens are coming back, you can tell they’ve been over seeding a lot and there trying to let them grown in.

When I played they had 0 speed. You really had to hammer the ball on the green, the grass is thin and you can tell it can’t be cut down yet. I’ve always lied this course and I’d like to see it rebound. I did play well and for the layout that makes me happy with it. I hope they have it worked out soon.

Took a chance on this course and was pleased with the course. Pretty typical Florida layout with a good bit of water and sand. The fairways and corridors were pretty wide. And the course was in pretty good shape. Some of the tee boxes were pretty bare. The fairways and rough were in the weird semi dormant condition you can get in N Florida in the winter. The greens looked very good. They had been overseeded and looked great. However, maybe my biggest complaint. They were extremely slow. Overall, it was pretty good for what I paid. And I’d play there again when in the area.

I got there at 130 hoping to get a full round in with the sunset at 540pm. The pace of play was very slow (possibly because everyone was told to wait until the group in front was on the green or leaving). Tee to green was 423 from the tee we were on. But safety is important so no problem.

When I called to see about getting a 9 for a later time I was told they don’t really do that. I’m not sure why they didn’t mention anything about it before I paid them for a full round.

I don’t think I will go back here unless I have to and I am going to actively warn people away.

All these 4 and 5 star reviews are just bots or somethin. Maybe members. But it’s a dump. The range is a sandbox too with old really rough balls. It’s a shame because 4 years ago this place was amazing. Not sure what exactly happened, when you ask it’s a different story from everyone… but right now it’s a dump

Played here about a month ago and looks like the greens were coming back but they have lost them again. Staff is nice and love the layout but don’t want play it with the intent to take putting seriously

Fairways look good. Tee boxes look good. Greens are good on the good ones and not so much on others. I’d say 10-11 of 18 look good. Even the bot so good ones are still very playable. Glad to see South Hampton getting back in shape. It’s a very fun layout!

Good course design. Fairways & Tees were in great shape. Many of the Greens were in poor condition, although they are scheduled to be rebuilt Drc 2025- February 2026.

Fun course great practice area! A course for the future youth as well as adult accommodation for all levels of Golf .

A surprisingly hot and sunny day for golf. Fairways generally good, thick fringes, and about 6 or so greens in poor/fair shape. Overall, a good, but physically challenging golf day. Pace of play had a little backup, but kept moving along for a sub four hour round.
