The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Hot September Round of Golf
A surprisingly hot and sunny day for golf. Fairways generally good, thick fringes, and about 6 or so greens in poor/fair shape. Overall, a good, but physically challenging golf day. Pace of play had a little backup, but kept moving along for a sub four hour round.

Staff ready when I arrived. Greeted with pleasant welcome and seamless start at #1.
Backup few holes on back nine. Greens rough, understand they’ll be replaced spring 2026.
Good round from white tees. Will move up to green tees next time.

Was very disappointed. Only played three holes and it started to rain hard. Went back to the clubhouse and asked for a rain check. I was told they could not give me one and to call Golfnow. I called Golfnow and was told they could not refund my account.

Great value
This course needs some TLC but the staff seems to be addressing as quick as they can. Greens are still being repaired. Some fairway issues but being repaired.
Great value for the price they are currently charging.
