About
Opened in 1922, Mayfair Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida and it's still the only course in the historic city of Sanford. Over the years, it has hosted a number of famous players including Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. The layout is wide open with a traditional design that is player friendly enough to appeal to novices and experienced golfers alike. Like most older course designs, the fairways are wide but the approaches aren't very forgiving. Water hazards come into play on over half of the holes and you might be surprised by a few subtle but tricky elevation changes. Mayfair Country Club is not a formidable test by any means, but there are a few challenging holes that will make you think.

Challenging course
yes very Challenging course, now tht Timacuan is semi private this course is has become busy,
and starting to come around. no driving range, but food and drinks are a decent price. now the course details.
leveled fairway, cant see the ppl ahead of you, becareful . Tee boxes are along side of greens
we had a few close calls. get ready to yell four !!!! the money its decent.
dont go out in the moring hours, very busy with leagues and locals.

Enjoyable course
The staff is great. The course is well kept except for a couple greens that need work. The course layout doesn’t help the pace of play but ultimately it’s a fun course to play. I like how it’s close to me and it’s a course I’ll definitely have no issue playing consistently.
Really nice course
Overall course is in very good shape. Greens are very fast. I enjoy playing there.
Good bad ugly
The good was the green speed, fast and hard. The bad was the areas surrounding the greens, washed out bare dirt. The ugly was the pace of play, just horrible!
GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY
HARD TO FIND A COURSE FOR THIS PRICE ON OCTOBER OLD COURSE MUNI BUT AT A FAIR PRICE HARD UP FOR MONEY PAY THEM A VISIT
Super fast greens but rolled true. 1 f,d up green. Most of the course in decent shape. I hole shortened because of work being done. I love the layout.
Fast Greens, decent course
Good value, not a great maintained course, but not in bad shape either. Fastest greens that I ever played. Hole 3 is par 3, not par 4 due to new sod. Staff very friendly and helpful. Short course, 6,200 from back tees. Will play here again.

Greens were great on all but 2. A few tee boxes and fairways need help overall pretty nice
Nice golf course in the Orlando Florida area
Mayfair Country Club offers 18-holes of quality golf, a practice range, a putting green, and a practice bunker. Many notable golf legends such as Arnold Palmer, Gene Sarazen, Moe Norman, and Sam Snead have all enjoyed playing the Mayfair layout.
Today the course is in good condition, there is one temporary tee box and one green that is in fairly bad shape, otherwise the course is in good shape. It’s a very reasonable price for the quality of the course, however, the staff seemed less than friendly, probably because we’re not locals.
I believe four is a fair rating and I would return him play again.
