About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Great day at Panther Run
We were very fortunate to snag a relatively early tee time off of GolfNow. Panther Run was in great shape. Although we were in a foresome of Guests, we were able to maintain pace of play and finish in 3.5 hours without feeling rushed at all.
Greens were in excellent condition and rolled very well.
Same for fairways. A couple of tee boxes were a bit rough but that’s nitpicking if I’m being honest.
Very much worth the trip to Ave Maria from Naples.

Solid Course, Always in Great Shape
Not the most exciting course but consistently in good condition and a good time. Staff is always friendly and the round is kept at a good pace. I’ve seen more gators here than any other course in SW Florida so be on the lookout!

my first time saw alligators nearby the fairway!

Course: Immaculate!
Speed of play: Hilarious! 1:45 for front 9 holes 👍
The 7 minute drive from 9->10 with a speed restricted cart is ridiculous!
We were keeping to time, but lost 3 holes to the group in front; and the players behind could see it!
I was a single, paired with a 3: Parents and a post grad Son! He hit drives miles, but mostly low right. Hedge, hedge, OB...get my drift. Unfortunately, he wanted to beat his father, so every putt had to be holed. But he never hit 3 off the tee as a provisional?
Lost ball: I'll drop one here! Whack. Off he went to find it. No idea where I was on the fairway, but knew, his parents probably wouldn't hit him with their 2nd shots.
Unfortunately, I've hit people before on a course. So, you get a little bit more protective of who's in front of you. He was oblivious, but continually made us wait!
The back nine was far better than I remembered, but I'm not sure if the continual development around the course is good for Nature. This was part of Florida's famous agricultural area. I'd never seen so many Tomato fields: now it's areas of sand, ready for housing development! We pay £2 for 1lbs in England. I'm seeing prices in your superstores of $5.99!
Onions: we pay about £0.30 per onion. You're paying $3 per lbs.
The Country that can grow almost everything to feed itself, is fixated with building properties upon that ground.
Unfortunately, the dude got worse. As they started to experience the light levels drop, their cart movements became even more alarming!
Except on the 16th green: with a sunset behind us, we would have progressed to the Crazy Par 3 17th, but having 3 putted; he decided to grab his mobile and take photos of the sunset with the Flag in the foreground!
Gets on the 17th tee and cannot believe the yardage. Blocks an 8i into the pond right, followed by a 7i in the same direction!
18th was played in almost darkness, but they still decided to race down to the green, while we waited on the fairway! It's a par 5! He went Right. He went Left.
Can't write anything else: it's pitch black!
Always a good experience!
Panther Run is always in nice shape and certainly a great place to play at a fair price. I’m not crazy about the water range with the Aqua balls (hard to judge distance in the water) but other than that it is always fun to come back. Definitely good bang for the buck.

Excelent golf Course, the only thing that we spent 7 hours at the Course because there we re a foursome ahead, we were a twosome and never let us pass ahead! No gentlemen
