About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Great condition
Tee to green was outstanding! Greens very slow and no rakes in bunkers. We noticed a rake on our cart but the other cart in our group didn’t have 1 so bunkers were sloppy and some people had to leave foot prints. We made the decision to play LCP in the bunkers
Great course and a good deal
We have played Panther run a few times and always enjoyed it. The course is in great condition, though bunkers were not always raked and greens a little slow. We got. good deal on GolfNow and played with two great guys., would recommend and definitely play there again.

Stay Away Due to Pace of Play for the Cost
Layout is nice and conditions are fair, however I'd suggest not playing this course. It's consistently overbooked with novice golfers and golfers who don't understand "Ready golf". I'm writing this review after playing the last four times where each front 9 took more than 2 hours 10 minutes to play. One of those rounds taking 2 hours 34 minutes from my scheduled tee time until the time my ball dropped into the 9th cup.
I have not seen a SINGLE ranger in numerous laps around this course. For what you pay as an 18 hole rate, yet can hardly get 9 holes in, is simply not worth playing.
As a past assistant superintendent, the maintenance team needs to understand to place easier pin placements on weekends to help alleviate the attrocious pace of play here and a ranger SHOULD be actively monitoring pace.

Good Review
As a local I should give this course a bad review so I can keep it all to myself. Stellar facilities for golf. Practice and play. Great staff. No Ranger which might have sped up play. But 8 minutes behind is acceptable for. beautiful Saturday afternoon on a packed course. Huge greens. A bit slow and hairy but consistently so.
Will be back for sure.
