About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

June Review
This was my first time playing here. It was fantastic. I’ve been traveling out to Ave Maria and been playing the National but I’ve been doing it backwards. Panther Run is the place to be if you plan on golfing in Ave Maria. Feels welcoming and the scenery is beautiful, a lot of wildlife. The layout of the course is also challenging for all skill levels.

Great layout but no aeration alert when booking
Love this course and the layout. Only downside from our golf experience was the aerated greens with no heads up from the course or golf now. This should be mandatory and strictly enforced as it affects how enjoyable a round can be. Overall a great course layout. Challenging but fair.
Excellent value for what we paid to play. Wide fairways. Greens were slow and not overly true, as they had been aerated and then sanded. Not really used to the "auto-gratuity" they add to the bill at the watering hole (The Rusty Putter), but the prices for drinks and food are competitive to say the least. I played the back tees and beat my handicap. Very gettable course.

Greens recently sanded and aerated. Course needs another two weeks before greens will be in good condition.

Run To Panther Run
Panther Run is a terrific course in beautiful shape with manicured tees, generous fairways, a spongy second cut and varied greens. It far exceeded expectations and is well worth the drive to Ave Maria. My surprise find so far this spring. Highly recommended.

Good conditions, generous fairways
Well conditioned and all around good value.
Nice staff although someone who worked there said they might kick us off at 6 pm so the staff could go home early on a Sunday night. Ticked me off since we were teeing off at 2:18. .
Course wasn’t busy and we finished by 6 so the issue never came up.
For full disclosure they say range balls are included but this is only a small warmup bag, maybe 20 balls. Two guys went off early and left me theirs so again not an issue.
Fairways are wide so a great course if you haven’t played in awhile or just want a stress free day.

Course has matured
I played this course when there were few houses on the course. It is mostly built up now. It was nice to play with restrooms and water stations on each nine. I hope it stays public.
