About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Always a good round
Already enjoyed this course every time, prior to renovations. It has gotten even better since then, and the course is pristine. Love this track.
Panther Run pretty good after recent improvements
Panther Run was closed for some fall 2021 improvements. Its recently been reopened and the course was in the very good condition. I didn't notice any big course layout changes.
BAD COMMUNICATIONS
I booked on Golf Now & paid $30 booking fee for 2 golfers. On line at Golf Now it said golf maintenance would start May 1.
We were going to play April 25. When we arrived, 14 fairways were totally brown from chemicals.
The course said if we had booked thru them they would have told us maintenance would have started.
So I lost $30 and will go back to booking at the club & nor Golf Now!

The course was being reseeded. 15 of the 18 holes had burned out grass in anticipation for its closure next week. It was not a pleasant experience and poor value for the money. This should have been posted on Golf Now. Very disappointed.

I got paired with another gentleman mid afternoon there were only two groups to go out in the 45 minutes I was warming up. I was a bit frustrated with that as I mentioned to the starter I would like to play solo. The gentleman I was paired with was of similar play but talked so much throughout the round. Other than that the greens were a bit inconsistent in length and roll. The layout and conditions were great though.

Should not allow play
This course was in terrible shape, 13 of the 18 fairways and rough were intentionally burned out. There was no indication on GolfNow that the course was in the process of burning out the fairways for reseeding. If we had known this, we would have selected a course not going through a major rehab. Very unprofessional to take greens fees for that course.

First time playing at Panther Run
High chance of rain so virtually no one showed up at 10 am.
Played with two other gentlemen.
Conditions were very good , with special kudos for the Immaculate greens .

Course layout is great
Staff excellent
I had issues with handicap access of cart
Not sure there was any difference with my cart supposedly set for handicap access and a normal cart
Grass was all brown except for about give holes.
Still a good value as the greens were in great condition

Fun time at Panther Run
Great Staff especially the beverage gal who brought out our food to the 10th hole. Nice touch. Water on almost every hole but doesn't come into play very often. Fairways are some of the widest I have ever played. Really enjoyed my round and the time I shared with Maggi,Dick and Peter. Also got to see some gators.
