About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Slow play due to couple being let in without tee time
Course and facilities are nice. We had a 2:07 tee time and were told we were following the 2:00 tee time, a foursome. After they teed off, the starter let a twosome in, and we were waiting on the twosome on every hole, which really dampened the experience.

slow front nine
Played the front 9 in 2 20 minutes. Waited on holes 3-9 every shot.. Three groups on most holes on front. Slow 4 some 2 groups ahead of us. Passed them at 9. Played the back 9 in 1 25 minutes. Greens rolled nice course was in good shape. I am a 5 handicap and found the course challenging with the wind.I would play again. They could provide more range balls. About 20 in a small bag. Nice chipping are and putting green.

First time playing this course. I was impressed with the layout and condition. It was not crowded and a threesome finished 18 in less than 4 hours. I will return to play here!

Worth the drive
You need to make the drive to Ave Maria and play Panther Run. The course is a solid and fun challenge with well placed bunkers, water that is well marked and avoidable and greens that were in excellent shape. Played the 3&4 hybrid tees at 6015 yards with slope of 123. There are 6 tees with 3 hybrid options. The cost was much less than the other public courses in and around Naples. Make the drive...and enjoy yourself.

Overall rating
Getting notifications that were behind pace of play every 2 minutes is EXTREMELY annoying. If you know it’s slow please send out a ranger to move the offenders along. Why not ??? Thanks!

Course was in very good shape. Very forgiving off the tee box. Virtually zero rough (not complaining), assume it will fill in / be tougher during rainy season. 1st time playing here, definitely won't be the last!

Panther Run in Ava Maria is a great golf course.
The layout is good, course condition is very good. and the value is excellent!
I will play again and would recommend to others.
Saw 8 alligators as a side bar. Most near the waters but one was wandering across the 1st fairway
moving from pond to pond. Quite a sight !
