About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Greens tad rough but overall good
Played today , round was quick finished in about 4 hours with a 3 some. 2 things I just wish they had done better.
1. Letting people know on golf now that the course had be recently arriated . It’s in the later stages of recovery but the greens are very bumpy and slow still.
2. The range balls are a joke, there are about 12 balls in these little bags for nonmembers and it was very difficult to warm up with that few.

The staff was friendly and there was tons of gators. Enjoyed the course layout was good, fairways need a little work and the greens were good just not cut today so slow. Look forward to coming back next week.

Nice course, bit of a drive
Wide open course, not a lot of trouble. Greens were in great shape, fairways average. 45 min drive from North Naples.

Limited range balls and grumpy starter. There was a ranger out on the course. But I’m not certain what he was doing as we waited every shot. The two pga tour wanna be’s in back of us started to get in patient so we had balls landing on the green before we got back to our cart. The only positive was the greens were in good shape but disappointedly slow. My best description would be this course is overwhelmed and has few folks engaged enough to want to make it a pleasurable experience for a greens fee paying customer

Golf etiquette of people on course
We’ve played this course numerous times and have loved it but this time we had many issues with the people on the course.
First they had a shoot out following us and half the group from the shoot out came up to the 1st tee before we even teed off. They asked if we were with the shoot out. We told them that we weren’t and suggested that they might give us a little space but they just stayed there.
On the 3rd tee as we were teeing off, 2 golf carts pulled up with no golf clubs on them and the person in the 1st golf cart said: “Oh, excuse me but just cutting through.” He proceeded to drive thru the landscape next to the tee box to get to the street/neighborhood with the 2nd golf cart following.
We waited on every single tee for the group in front of us with no one in front of them. They were at least 2 shots behind pace but no ranger around to move them along.
On the last hole, we had a twosome hit into us and then drive up the fairway as we were getting ready to hit as if they were going to play through but then they just drove by their ball and left.
We’ve never seen such horrendous golf etiquette in all the years we’ve been playing. We’d like to come back but are hesitant now with what we just experienced.

Awesome
This course lived up to the promise of a great round of golf. The challenge was fair for mid handicap players. The wind on the day played was very brisk adding to the difficulty. If the club could control the wind it would have been a 5/5 rated round. We all know that they can’t control everything. A pleasure to play and I will play it again.

Slow
Course in good condition greens were kind of slow.
On the negative side you would think they would give you more than 18 balls for warm up. Play was slow, 4 1/2 hours

Good value for a quality course - but a bit far from Naples
Greens were in great condition, rest of course a bit dry but expected at this time of year. Great wildlife all over the course. Interesting layout. Worth the drive from Naples.
Great Track
Open fairways finally. Starter was grouchy when I ask for another bag of range balls. Nowhere is it disclosed that you only get 15 range balls. Gator drop is in play.

Flexibility
With an 11:45 tee time I arrived by 9:00 to see if I could get out earlier and the starter accommodated
Due to weather many were dropping out after 9 which gave me the entire back 9 to myself, did not see anyone in front or behind for 9 holes and it was a pleasure
Fairways are generous, greens are well maintained albeit a little slow
