Sugarmill Woods Country Club - Pine Course

I understand the course is being renovated, at this time & after playing it I'm wondering why they just don't shut it down & maybe leave the practice facility open cos it's really not enjoyable at present stage

Older track, poor signage for 1st and 10th hole. Looks like there were 36 holes here in the past and they let 18 of them go.... and may have take 9 from one course and 9 from an other, as my GPS was useless. The course is dormant but in good shape, except for the greens... Many are 'blackened' with disease and cracked . I really hope the greenskeeper can do some magic as some look like they are toast for this year

Once they finish restoring the fairways and greens, which by the looks of it, they are really working on it, it could be a great course and great value for the money. On the downside, at least as a courtesy, when you are paying they should tell you that you are playing behind a senior citizen league and it’s going to be very very slow. Especially on a Wednesday morning and I’m playing solo.

Good course - really needs some maintenance/TLC. But in talking with a member I was paired with, the new owners have been making steady improvements, just going to take time.

The driving range, putting green and chipping area were very good. the on-course greens were the biggest issues - a few were barley putt-able..

The course needs some work, which they are attempting to do. The tee boxes are in good shape, they are reseeding the greens but some of the fairways are in bad shape.

Most enjoyable course this year, Will definitely return. Winter conditions, but still excellent shape.

The Greens still need some work to make this place really good

This course has a nice layout and is reasonably priced. Nice clubhouse and range facility. Unfortunately the greens on the back 9 were terrible and it will take some time to get them back into decent shape, which is why I rated it low. The course management and staff are working hard to get this course back to what it was.

so bad greens were really bad no grass in fairways look like no one works there one year ago we played there wasn't near as bad as this year

I have been on cow pastures that are in better condition then this course. The greens on the back 9 are so bad that all you could do is pick up the ball and walk away. the Fairways have little to no grass and the cart paths are all broken up. Don't wast you time here.

This is a good golfcourse and worth going there even the playing conditions need a lot of work to be improved.

I review we had a fun time. The course design and layout is excellent. The greens and sand traps are in poor condition.

I don’t know how people are saying this course is improving, no grass on fairways, no sand in traps and most greens were like grandma’s patchwork quilt and impossible to putt on. The bright spots were the staff, carts and nice club house. They seriously need to consider a professional golf course landscape company if they have and chance of saving this great layout.

Beautiful layout, conditions must be improved to get an excellent course. Good value for money..

Course is getting much better with new tee box grass. Greens are coming back but fairways aren’t great yet. Not too bad though.
