Atypical of many Florida golf courses, RedTail Golf Club is a links-style layout dotted with 100-year-old oak trees and azaleas among its rolling green fairways. Designed by Dave Harman, who also did Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, the course features four lakes with water coming into play on the last five holes. Holes 14-18 work their way around the largest lake on the course, while the finishing hole's approach shot plays over another body of water in front of the clubhouse. Located in rural Sorrento a little more than a half hour north of Orlando, RedTail Golf Club prides itself on catering to "members only."

Great course!

$35 - the price was right for the condition of the course. For instance, there are things growing in and around the bunkers :(

Excellent track in bad shape!

No starter or ranger for a 4.5 hour round:) The fairway turf was in bad shape. Greens and tee box were in good shape, but for the price; not again. There are too many good courses in the are a for less.

Completely dead course bunkers are teerible

Played Redtail today. I have played it 6 times over last year and half. Worst I have ever seen it. Frost killed every blade of grass. Standing water everywhere. Bunkers looked like native areas. Staff told us bunkers were lift clean and place. Grad was only growing in the bunkers. 2-3 of the greens were trashed. Had sand in the middle of the green. Not worth the price. Range was open…. Should have been closed. No grass on the range at all. Not going back for a very long time.

Getting better

Redtail wasn't what it used to be, it's getting better and coming back. The greens were good, fairways good.

All the rain did it wonders. Sure beats dealing with that Jerk at Blackbear though.

Great Layout, Good, not great condition.

Will come back even though it is quite the drive. I like the layout and the staff and amenities are top notch. Course is improving. Sand traps need help.

Great value for money

Course has a nice layout. Tees were in good shape. Fairways good shape but off the fairways a little beat up. Greens were rolling very nice!!!! Great value for $50.00 in December. Pace of play was great. Played mid week around 9am

Redtail is essentially a dead course. Destroyed by fools who don't have a single how to manage and maintain.

Too many snob members over the years ruined this beautiful place. Its always the same..

Well worth a visit.

You can tell that this course was once a top track. The layout of the holes was great, the greens were lovely ( very fast and true) It just needs a bit of money spent on it to tidy it up. The Pro shop and Clubhouse were lovely too. Reasonable prices for a round. We will be back.

Love the layout. The course appears to still be recovering from Ian. The bunkers.need ALOT of work, Fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. However, will wait until spring or summer to return

Seen Better Days

Played Red Tail many times and it was once considered a top course in all of Central Florida, and that’s saying a lot. Yesterday I didn’t recognize that course and the new management haven’t been taking care of it because it’s been on a decline for a couple years now. I felt like the price was cheap enough where I wasn’t expecting it to look like it had in 2018, but I’d be happier paying $100 a round if they got it back to that condition.
