About
Atypical of many Florida golf courses, RedTail Golf Club is a links-style layout dotted with 100-year-old oak trees and azaleas among its rolling green fairways. Designed by Dave Harman, who also did Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, the course features four lakes with water coming into play on the last five holes. Holes 14-18 work their way around the largest lake on the course, while the finishing hole's approach shot plays over another body of water in front of the clubhouse. Located in rural Sorrento a little more than a half hour north of Orlando, RedTail Golf Club prides itself on catering to "members only."

Golfer Reviews
Great comeback story
I'm part of a local group that plays a lot around Central Florida. We hadn't been out here yet. Had to check it out. RedTail is in top-notch shape. They had a rough time with the greens earlier this year...but they are BACK. Hat tip to the course super & crew for their hard work. The clubhouse staff will treat you right. Everything was great from beginning to end. Great service, great day, fun and challenging course, scenic views of some horse farms. We couldn't believe we had the course to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon. Worth the drive, even through SR46 traffic. Get out there! I'll definitely be back.
RedTail is back!!!!
This course has always been a favorite and they have done an amazing job of getting the course back in awesome conditions. From tees to greens, it’s in great shape again!
The Greens are Back!
The greens are back! They have battled with fungus and won the war. The course looks good and warning, the greens are slow.
One thing to note; the carts are terrible. They need to be someone to refurbish them or lease new cart.
Stiff challenge
The course was wet from days of rain. You really need to know where to place your ball around the course to score well. The greens were in very good shape and rolled out at a nice speed. A bit of a drive from Orlando, but worth it.
Redtail
It is nice to see Redtail back in great shape. Course looks great. Greens and fairways are what i have come to expect from this course.
Glad to have it back in the rotation.
Great course!
Great course, little hard but still fun. Lots of hazards so be careful but overall very nice kept up course and greens!
Great course
Been pretty dry lately and this course was in great shape.
Much improved
Greens are all recovered but slow.
Fairways have nice rough
Its worth reconsidering for play now.

Side note---roads from I4 are been reconfigured due to 46 construction.
Slow greens.
Great course. Greens were very slow. Looked like they had aeriated not long ago.
Red tail
Nice course in sorrento fl. Course was healing from recent punch of greens. I have seen it in better condition. Is a great layout just caught it on a time after they had punched. Will definitely return
First time here
First time here and was not disappointed. Great carts to get around a nice layout. Nice growth of grass throughout course. If you miss fairways or greens be ready to layup or face tough next shots. Found it interesting that after checking in to pay for golf you never return to clubhouse. Otherwise the course is great and golf is very challenging.
Greens returning nicely
Staff has done a great job getting greens back. Nice to see “green” putting surfaces. Still a bit slow but understandable as they let them grow in.
Almost back!
Been awhile since I played due to the issues with the greens. They look very good and rolled well but were slow which I expected. Glad to see my favorite local course back!
