I love the course in all aspects but the current conditions are way below expectations due to the condition of the greens.

Hadn’t played the course in a couple years. The fairways were in decent condition but out of 18 holes maybe 3 had greens that were playable. Most greens were moldy dirt with patches of grass leading to the pin. The course did give a little discount but these greens belonged on a $20 course not this one.

We've been playing Redtail for about 10 years. Love the course. We'll be glad when the greens come back the way they used to be. But still enjoyed playing at Redtail.

Red Tail is one of the nicest courses for the money around. Absolutely beautiful layout, but course is in bad condition. Wet marshy spots in middle of fairways, greens are in even worse conditions. Spotty / patchy / holes .... For as beautiful of a course - fairways, first cut / second cuts nicely manicured, but greens putting surfaces trashed.

Just hoping that this Florida gem bounces back. Love this course, but gonna wait awhile to return - hopefully to better greens.

Course was in terrible condition. 95% of greens are bad, lot of fairways in bad shape, tee boxes in bad shape.

The greens were in horrible shape. To pay $39 was terrible. Because of a fungus, not one green would roll true. Worst I’ve ever seen

Ive played this course many times in the past. The greens last week were not playable. Literally the worst condition of any greens that I have ever seen. Shameful. Their response after the round is that they would let me play another round for $30 before the end of April. They should let people know ahead of time the poor conditions of this course. I would never have paid to play here. Disgraceful. I won’t be back anytime soon.

Have enjoyed course in past. Greens were in horrible condition management advised us before we played. Hardly anyone on the course. I hope it can be returned to its prior status. Would not play it again unless conditions greatly improve

I hate to write this review because this course is my favorite course to play. I have recommended this course to so many golfers. Played the course a month ago and a couple greens were worn down but the course still played well. Played today and all the greens are in such bad shape that you literally can not putt on them. You can't even move your ball a little to give yourself a good roll. The course unfortunately should be shut down until the greens can recover or the greens are repaired properly. The tee boxes are good and so are the fairways but the greens are just not acceptable to be charging $44 to play. I will be back but not until these repairs are made. Good luck to the superintendent I hope he can brings them back soon.

The greens were worse than if they were being aerated. Chipping and putting were totally taken out of play. Is a very bad golfing experience and I would not recommend this course to anyone.

Played this course little over a month ago an course was in decent Florida condition!! But more than half the greens are dead now so you are putting in mostly sand.

Greens are worse than any other course by far. Will take months to get back to an acceptable condition.

Find other courses to play for next few months.

Greens in terrible shape,some type of fungus issue, made putiing nearly impossible. Needs more signage on the back 9, had difficulty finding 14th and 18th Tee.

As a matter of full disclosure golf now had an alert for the course condition. Additionally the pro shop did mention an issue with recent frost and fungus impacting the greens prior to teeing off. But the greens can’t be that bad can they???? No, they were worse. I have played temporary greens that were in better condition. The greens were unplayable and had to be played as an automatic 2 putt. My playing partners described it as putting on a head of cauliflower. There is little to no grass, muddy patches, and ruts which makes ALL 18 greens plus the practice green unplayable. There were no range balls available due to the range being too wet to pick up balls. The pro shop is allowing a discounted replay at a later date as compensation for the unplayable greens.

The layout is one of the best in the area, but in its current condition, the course is unplayable. Stay away until reviews cite improvements in the putting surfaces and the golf now alert disappears. Also, be sure to call the pro shop prior to making a tee time to confirm the greens are playable. However if you 3 putt a lot of greens, the automatic 2 putt may make Red Tail in its current condition the ideal course for you.
