About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

What a fun layout
Nice elevation change for central Florida golf. Greens were nice and staff was very friendly. No winter grass but I bet in summer this place would be unbearable. Have a short game practice area, a putting a green, and driving range (which a little to be desired). Plenty of value for money. I’ll be back.

Great layout
The greens were in great shape and were challenging but putted true. The fairways were in poor shape and provided their own challenge.

Just okay
Great staff, interesting layout, good greens, but way too slow. This course should not take more than 4 1/2 hours, but it takes at least an hour more than that. Waiting 5 to 10 minutes per shot is just too frustrating to return.

Loved the course layout and it could be a great course to play if the conditions were way better. The greens were excellent but the fairways and rough were not good at all.

I read some online reviews before playing the course and I don't think they are fair. Was it perfect, no, but it was very playable and a great layout. Greens were fast and nice. Great value and I will definitely go back again.

Course is tough but fair. Fairway grass needs to be a little higher
Course was in good shape play was a little slow because of two slow foursomes.

Trouble on the course
Greens and fairways were in bad condition. It was a five hour round and the people behind us curse this out because we were waiting on the people in front of us to learn. Everybody had to wait 5 to 10 minutes on every hole before they could tee off. There’s a lot of courses around that cost list in way better condition that I will be playing from now on.

Good layout and fast greens
Course has a good layout and fast greens. The staff was great. The fairways and tee boxes need work. The range needs a lot of work— both turf and update balls. A little more TLC and this will be one of the best value courses north of Orlando.

Fast greens
Play this course for the greens. Always quick and in good shape. Fairways and bunkers need attention.

Too slow
This course could be great but needs about 10 trucks of full dirt per hike and someone to keep the pace going. 6 hours is too long for a round.0

Not as good as it has been
The greens were very good. But the fairways were burned out and very tight. Tee boxes were chewed up, and the cart travel areas coming off the tee would shake your fillings out.

Fun open course at great price
Wide fairways and tee offs are well positioned, but course is very dry and weedy. Water ponds only on 2 holes. Greens are in great shape and presented some challenge. Driving range is horribly maintained and balls were overused. Friendly staff and started was very nice.
