About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

TLC
Nice course I play often, greens are always above average but fairways need some TLC way too bumpy and bad spots at times overbooked getting a lot of traffic, rarely see anyone maintaining course filling divots etc… even so I would still recommend
Nice Layout
The layout of the course was very different that called for some target golf and unique club selection. Fairways need some help. Lots of weeds infiltrating the fairways. Greens were very good. Tee boxes were ok.

Tricky course, looks wide open then either arrows or pins are tucked away. Fun to play.

Great track
Played eagle dunes for the first time last week and again on Friday. Teeboxes and fairways were decent but the greens were great. Played for $40 which with the in season rates right now I view as a great price. Awesome layout my buddies and I had a great time. Staff was awesome too.

Great Value
Course is a great layout.. Long enough from each set of tees. Lots of elevation
Tees and greens in good shape
Fairways good shape with minimal weeds and traps were true
For the money, this course is in much better shape and upkeep than many others in central Florida

An interesting design that has been abused and ignored.
It's really too bad this course is in such sad condition. The design layout is really good and the greens were fast and challenging, however the condition of the rest of the course is deplorable. No grass on the fairways and the rough...well it's rough. Will not play again.

Not your typical Florida course
Play here every time I am in the area! It is worth the 55-60 minute drive! Course can use some maintenance on the fairways but the greens were in great shape! Not bad for early March when it still cold up North! I will be back!

Good course, you will like it
Greens are easily the best in the area…….fast, smooth, ball rolls very true
Fairways were not overseeded so the lies are a little thin
They have added a senior “straight blue” tee setup in addition to the “blue-white” combo tees

Excellent greens, but...
Greens were excellent and fast. Tee boxes were decent; however, the fairways were hurting a bit. The course has a good layout with some short holes that help you score card. Overall I would drive 50 minutes again to play the course.

Good layout, dome work needed
While the course is fun and the greens are terrific, the fairways have some invading grasses /weeds and need work.
Pace of play was quite slow today. On hole #2 there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. Round was 4 1/2 hours.
Overall ok experience.

Above average for similarly priced courses. Greens are great and fairways are grinning up nicely.

Stay away
This is possibly the worst course I have ever golfed. On a positive note, we played
In just under 4 hours, the greens are maybe a 3 out of 5 . It goes down from there. Driving range was awful, range balls the worst. The fairways are bare, not just winter condition, but bare. The rough Is nonexistent, just bare ground. Tee boxes are bad. And the club house is nothing to write home about.

Meh!
Range balls terrible. Range tee was all dirt. Pro Shop almost empty. No merchandise. Tee areas okay. Fairways were all weeds. Rough and green surrounds bad. Greens slow but we’re healthy and consistent. Carts were okay. Layout was quirky and not great. I wouldn’t drive 40 minutes again.
