Not worth the drive
I was hoping for a nice day on the course. Was met with Poot course conditions. Clumps of grass everywhere, bogs and swamps on almost every fairway, and no refreshment options while on the course.
I have never seen a course allow a single player to jump in a “gap” between groups. There was a player that said the course was letting him jump in the gap and it slowed our game down. After that happened, the group behind us was on our tail. They shot into our group once.
Greens were good and so were the sand traps, but everything else could use some work.
Better than most
I cannot believe that the slope is so low…orchard course is ever long and challenging.
Fairways are in good shape. Greens were in decent condition.

LH Orchard
Fantastic course that was wide open. We never waited on a hole. The greens were a little on the slow side, but the fairways were beautiful. The sand traps were in great shape. For the money, this is one of my best experiences playing golf in the Sacramento area. Highly recommend!
Good coarse
Nice coarse and staff greens always taken cared of! I would play again
Worst Round Ever
Sold us a tee time without a warning us that they were going to put us right behind a 8 person scramble. They assured us they would keep up the pace of play. Took us 5 hours to play 14 holes and we called it quits after that. Fairways are in bad shape. They are removing all the bunkers, the only thing that made the course challenging. They wouldn't offer a discount or partial refund of our round. Never playing there again.

Course was in good condition considering they punched the greens about 2 weeks ago. Still getting used to the new layout but the new sand traps are finished and are in fabulous condition.
needs more grass on course
I had a lot of fun on the course. the greens have been punched and still needed to grow in. also there was some pretty bare spots in the fairways where the grass hasn't quite taken yet I guess from wintergrass to Summer. I had a blast pet playing the course.
So much fun
I haven’t lived in this area since 2006 but moved back in Oct 2022. I played the old hills course back the. And liked it. First time playing the Orchard, joined another twosome and had a blast! Great guys, fun layout, some rough spots on the course, looks like they’ve done a lot of work, removing bunkers and recently punched the greens. Overall great time, had a good ballstricking day. Made a couple of birdies and an eagle on a short par 5. Very difficult with the shape of the greens, best round in a while so I’ll definitely be back! Finished in under four hours.
Challenging back 9 !
Can’t complain, I birdied hole 18 and two more. I’m happy!
