Bad customer service
The reason why I'm giving the course 2 stars is because the course is ok and the greens are in good conditions but the customer service is horrible, George treated me like a piece of garbage just because I booked the course as a hot deal "opaque customer". Because of him it was the first and last time I will play that course, staff should treat all your customer equal without disparage the customer just because the way the round was booked.
Hidden Gem
Absolutely love this place. You would never guess when are driving by it, but this course has some of the best greens in all of Broward County. Pace can be a tad on the slow side because the course sits in a 55 an older community but its never TOO bad unless it is the winter. Overall though, I love this place.
GOOD GRASS ON FAIRWAYS AND GREENS ...Proshop Staff rude....
Old design layout but all the course are certainly reseed, Grass for fairway and greens are in very good shape.
Greens are a lot of denivelation.
Staff at the proshop is rough...I have my confirmation number, my name , my tee-time hour....but it's not enough...you have to need with you all e-mail confirmation to prove that you paid completely your Golf Now. ...or ....there's be sad!!!
Sorry ...but some other golf courses need me more.... than you Oriole gentlemen!
Great Greens
The best thing about the coarse are the greens. They were in great shape. The fairways are a little narrow. You need to hit the ball straight off of the tees. The pace was a little slow this day, but its winter in florida with the snowbirds. The fairways were in ok shape. I would have like a little more fluffy lies. I would play here again. My only complaint was that there was no bag drop area. You have to wait for a bag cart to come around in the parking lot. There was no sign indicating this. So if you know the routine, its no problem.
Good round, but pace was slow due to the number of people out
Oriole is in pretty good shape, some holes much better than others. Overall, fun and challenging course.
Its winter, so the courses are very busy in Broward county, especially the $35 to $55 locations. Don't plan on anything less than 4.5 to 5 hours, if the groups in front of you don't take a mulligan on every hole... :)
Good public course
The course was average, which is expected for a public course with lots of play. Greens were very firm and they were being top-dressed as we played with workers often in our way as we played. There was a 3some in front of our 4-some and we waited on every shot. Needed a ranger to help expedite play. The layout for the course was fine. The course is kinda hard to find even with a GPS. Probably would not play again if I was in the area.
Oriole golf course
A really good time, green were in great shape. The next time I am back in seven Florida I will surely played this course
Course was in great condition
The weather and the course were both excellent. I had one of my best rounds.
Love this course
Great for a fast round of golf. We play 9 holes here often. Love it, not challenging, (except for that difficult 9th hole!!!) but great course to practice your technique on .
Good value for your golf dollar. Most people that play here, play very fast. I love this place
Oriole golf in great shape
Course is in great shape, greens, fairways and tee boxes all in good shape. Pace of play was good for an early Saturday round in season. Greens are challenging, no straight putts and fast. Course is relatively easy and is good for your average golfer
Great course for beginners
I really enjoy playing this course. This is a great place to play when your learning. The conditions of the greens are not amazing, but they aren't that bad either. For the price though it's a great place to get out and practice. Right now they are renovating their greens and the prices are even lower. The people I have met have been nice even when i made some mistakes. Golfers I have met have been nice as well.
Basically if you love a good deal, and don't need a high class course this is a great place in my opinion.
Mangy Old Dog
I bought a condo on this course two and a half years ago and have played this course ONCE!!!
The greens are horrible. Have you ever seem a dog with mange? Multiply that by 10 and have a few othe greens at this course. i wih I cold upload photos, but I get a 504 Gateway Time-Out message from this site. You can go to yelp to see photos.
It's a shame the owner doesn't put money into the course.
Loved playing
I was happy with the overall condition of the coarse.
Good Course. Below average staff.
Course was well maintained. Nice greens, but slow. Fairly easy course. A couple par 3's were unfair. They had elevated sand traps protecting the hole to the point, where you could not see the green at all. Extremely challenging in the wind.
Only thing I didn't like, was the staff inside the pro shop. Called the pro shop, seeking for directions. I asked where they were located, and the pro shop guy, told me the city, and then the state. Common sense would dictate a street was needed. I'm actually surprised he didn't tell me what planet the course was located on.
I digress. Showed up at the pro shop a half hour before my tee time, and was told to come back 5 minutes before my actual tee time. I went to the practice greens to wait patiently. I then noticed that they weren't even busy. It was a good 20 minutes before I saw a two-some tee up. This was the first time, I've been told to wait to tee up, when they weren't even busy. Barely finished my round. Will not play here again.
Average Course
Course was in pretty good condition but they need to cut the greens and the tee boxes immediately. Had to hammer downhill putts just to get them to the hole. Other than that, the course was in good shape and is a good value for under $40.
Course is wide open and forgiving
Great course for the money. There are a few challenging holes but otherwise a fairly easy course
Price and quality of course are appropriate.
Oriole provides a pleasant round of inexpensive golf on a reasonably well maintained course with some challenges.
Nice open course
Most holes are great layout and are reachable in 2 shots. Fairways are well maintain with very large greens.
